Bethenny Frankel is defending comments made about Spanish-speaking employees at Kmart after receiving tons of social media backlash.
On Friday, Bethenny tweeted:
“Wow @Kmart has 2 registers open w 5 other employees standing around & two speak no English whatsoever. Shoes are sapatos right?”
“Not even attempting kids’ snow boots in spanish,” she continued.
Expectedly, her comments rubbed many the wrong way.
She defended her comments Saturday morning, writing:
“No excuse for being at a retailer & not able to be directed to what u need. 0 to do with race. I’ll explain but can’t understand it for you.”
We’re still somewhat surprised Bethenny was doing her own shopping in a Kmart in the first place…
