Barbara Walters listed Kim & Kanye on her annual ’10 most fascinating people’ list, but in her accompanying television special she didn’t exactly have the nicest things to say about ‘Kimye’.
She admitted to having a fascination with the celebrity couple, but Barbra brought her reading glasses to set and very quickly let Kim & Kanye have it.
Here are just a few quotes from the clip:
‘Kanye, as he has often pointed out has many talents, as for Kim, well she’s very good at being herself.’
‘Kanye West first fell in love with Kim Kardashian when she was Brandy Norwood’s personal assistant but when she did fall for him? ‘Was it the time he insulted Taylor Swift? Or the moment he insulted George W Bush? Or the time he threw a punch at a paparazzo. Who knows? Love is a mystery.’
‘I’ve interviewed them both before and I liked them,’ she said. ‘In 2005 Kanye told me something which now seems surprising.’
It then cut to a clip of Kanye saying he wasn’t interested in dating celebrities.
Barbara goes on…
‘I spoke to Kim on day 47 of her 72 day marriage to Kris Humphries and that now also seems surprising.’
‘Sadly some people have mocked them and sceptics say their relationship will never last because Kanye hates the press poking into his personal life and Kim doesn’t seem to have that problem.
‘Kanye, as he has often pointed out has many talents. He’s a singer a thinker a clothes designer and a stylist. As for Kim’s talents, well she’s very good at being herself.
‘And if nothing they do seems entirely real, they seem really happy doing it
