Amanda Bynes has returned to Instagram.
With a new account, Amanda shared a video addressing fans to thank them for their support after she filed to end her conservatorship.

“What’s up, Instagram? Amanda Bynes here,” she said in the video posted Monday. “My court date is coming up in two weeks. I want to thank you all so much for your love and support. Peace out.”
Bynes, 35, provided no additional comment in the caption and instead tagged a few media outlets.
The former “Amanda Show” star’s new account features a photo of her and longtime love Paul Michael as the profile picture, while her bio simply states, “check back for updates on new fragrance!”
In October 2020, Bynes’ attorney had said she was considering entering the perfume market in addition to exploring fashion.
“Amanda is very entrepreneurial,” David A. Esquibias shared. “She is now considering perfume in addition to a clothing line.”
Bynes’ new account comes a couple of weeks after Page Six broke the news that she filed to terminate her conservatorship after nearly nine years. She requested to terminate both the conservatorship of her person and estate in a petition submitted at the Ventura County Superior Court in California.
Bynes also filed a capacity declaration, as California requires all conservatorship cases to have updated records about a conservatee’s mental state from their physician, psychologist or religious healing practitioner.
Her hearing is scheduled for March 22.
“Amanda wishes to terminate her conservatorship,” Esquibias in a statement to People. “She believes her condition is improved and protection of the court is no longer necessary.”
Unlike Britney Spears’ conservatorship case, Bynes’ mission to get out of hers is fully supported by her parents and has been in the works for years.
The former Nickelodeon actress was first placed under a conservatorship in August 2013, giving her mother, Lynn Bynes, legal control of all her medical and financial affairs.
It came about after the “She’s the Man” actress, then 27, was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold for allegedly starting a fire in an elderly woman’s driveway.
