Aaron Hernandez’s Alleged Bisexuality May Have Been a Motive in Odin Lloyd Murder

More revelations in the wake of Aaron Hernandez’s suicide are beginning to surface.

As reported yesterday, three suicide notes were said to have been found in his cell — one written to his fiancé, one to his daughter, and one to his male prison lover.

According to a Newsweek report published Friday, Aaron Hernandez was bisexual, and Odin Lloyd knew. Aaron was convicted of murdering Odin in 2013 and his sexuality may have played a role.

He was convicted in April 2015 for shooting and killing his friend, Odin Lloyd, seemingly without motive. But interviews with multiple law enforcement officials directly involved in the case say Lloyd—a semipro football player who was dating Hernandez’s fiance’s sister at the time—had information the football star did not want out: that he was bisexual.

Newsweek also reported that Odin called Aaron a “schmoocher,” which Aaron and other acquaintances took as a gay slur.

The report goes on to say that Aaron had a male lover outside of prison —  a male former high school classmate whom authorities interviewed extensively in regards to Odin Lloyd’s murder.

That unnamed man received a share of Hernandez’s money upon his arrest.

Law enforcement officials also say Hernandez moved a large amount of money into three accounts shortly before his arrest for the Lloyd killing: one account was for his fiancée; a second was for his daughter; the third, where the most money was moved, was for that friend.

These developments about Aaron’s sexuality come as Bristol Superior Court Judge Thomas McGuire granted a request from his fiancée to preserve certain evidence linked to his death.
