Tristan Thompson is going through some big changes in his life right now.
Earlier this week, he joined the Boston Celtics.
Now, he’s joining the United States as an American citizen.
For backstory — Tristan was actually a Canadian citizen and came to the U.S. to attend the University of Texas in 2009. A year later, he joined the NBA.
Tristan says, “I came to the U.S. on a student visa and have always had big dreams. I’m now truly living the American dream.”
