A British man has been arrested and sent to jail for four months after he repeatedly called emergency services claiming to be Nicki Minaj.

via NY Daily News:

Stephen Brown, 24, also called the phone system asking for police assistance claiming he had seen a ghost in his house.

He was jailed for breaching an Anti-Social Behaviour Order which banned him from repeatedly calling the emergency phone system, reported Belfast Live.

Defense lawyer Aaron Thompson described his client as a chronic alcoholic and said “he is his own worst enemy.”

Judge Desmond Marrinan described Brown as a “nuisance” and warned his repeated calls were preventing police from dealing with real emergencies.

On Christmas Day last year, Brown made two calls within five minutes of each other to the emergency services, Antrim Crown Court heard.

During the first call he claimed two men were making threats to kill him but was too intoxicated to provide more information.

A prosecutor said he rang again saying he wanted to cancel the first call and during the second call he also claimed to be pop star Minaj and added there was a poltergeist in his house.

The court was told the phone calls were in breach of a previous order, which banned him from using the emergency number, except in a real emergency.

People are crazy.
