NFL Says Janet Jackson Is NOT Banned from the Super Bowl Stage

A few years ago, an NFL spokesperson told TMZ that Janet Jackson was ‘ruled out’ as a potential Super Bowl performer — but it looks like Janet’s days of being blacklisted are over.

Now that Justin Timberlake has officially been announced as the performer for 2018’s Super Bowl LII, everyone’s attention quickly turned to Janet.

Will she be appearing as well?

According to the NFL now, Janet Jackson has NOT been officially banned from performing during the halftime show and Justin has full authority to invite her if he wants to.

via TMZ:

We reached out to the league and we’re told straight-up, “There’s no ban.”

So, does this mean Timberlake will bring Janet on as a special guest?

An NFL spokesperson tells us, “We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests. There may be no guests. Along with Pepsi, we’re excited to have Justin Timberlake.”

That’s not exactly a “no” …

We BETTER see Janet on that halftime show stage next year.
