A couple living in the U.K. has posted an ad seeking a live-in nanny to care for their two young children.
At first glance, the ad looks like your normal childcare listing — until you get to the details. Their previous caretakers quit due to ‘supernatural incidents.’

In the job description, the couple writes that they are a “friendly” bunch with two young kids but warned that their Scottish Borders home is haunted.
“We have 2 children ages 5 and 7, and live in a lovely, spacious, historic property with spectacular views,” the ad reads.
“We were told it was ‘haunted’ when we brought it, but kept our minds open and decided to buy the house regardless,” the ad continues. “5 nannies have left the role in the last year, each citing supernatural incidents as the reason.”
According to the couple, past caregivers complained about hearing strange noises in the home, finding broken glass and furniture mysteriously moving around.
“We haven’t personally experience any supernatural happenings, as they have been reported only while we’ve been out of the house,” the ad reads.The family is so desperate to find a nanny that they are willing to pay “above the asking rate.” The post states the salary is a little more than $63,000 and they offer 28 days of vacation.
In an update, the family said they’ve received over 2,000 messages from potential nannies willing to take on the creepy gig.
