Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs is demanding $110,000 per month in spousal support from estranged wife Mary J. Blige.
The 49-year-old believes he should be able to continue the ‘lavish’ lifestyle he enjoyed before Mary filed for divorce. He’s asking Mary to cough up cash for meals, a housekeeper, and a $1,000 allowance for new clothes.
He also wants Mary to surrender an additional $10,000 per month to help take care of his parents and kids from his previous relationship.

In October Isaacs made a similar request for $130,000 in monthly spousal support.
But in the latest paperwork, filed to the Los Angeles Superior Court last week and seen exclusively by DailyMail.com, Isaacs seems to have dropped $20,000 of expenses, cutting requests for help paying $8,000 for a private chef and $3,200 for a personal trainer, as well as other reductions.
The paperwork stated Blige fired her husband, who was her personal manager throughout their marriage, and left him with ‘no source of income’.
And according to the latest documents Isaacs is now seeking court intervention after he says he met with Blige in late February in an attempt to try to settle the case amicably, but nothing was resolved.
In total he’s asking for $110,000 a month in spousal support, a $95,000 contribution to his attorney’s fees and a $52,000 contribution to his forensic accounting fees.
The filing states: ‘Mr. Isaacs was Ms Blige’s personal manager for more than one decade and throughout the entire marriage. Mr. Isaacs has negotiated practically every deal on behalf of Ms. Blige, and based upon Ms Blige’s income over the years, their relationship has been financially lucrative. During the marriage, Mr. Isaacs was compensated 10% of all gross income received by Ms Blige.’
The filing states that Isaacs made $46,205 a month when he was employed by his wife, primarily due to the $415,000 in commissions that he was paid in the latter part of 2016.
But Isaacs, who claims to have $4.5 million in assets, said he now needs spousal support because his financial situation has ‘changed significantly in the last 12 months’, court papers state.
The unemployed former manager wants to return to the lavish life he enjoyed at the side of the ‘Queen of Hip Hop Soul’, that included dining at expensive restaurants and socializing with A-list celebrities.
Isaacs specifically wants Blige to cover the majority of the $116,250 he spends per month.
In addition to $5,000 a month to support his parents and $4,971 a month in support for two children from a past relationship, he asked Blige to contribute to the $1,200 he pays on eating out and the $60,000 in rent he owes to several properties.
He also states he pays nearly $2,500 on auto expenses and transportation, $5,708 for a housekeeper and maintenance on his properties and another $1,723 on groceries.He also asked for help in paying the $1,500 he gives in charitable donations and the $5,000 he spends on entertainment, gifts and vacations.
Many of the sums have been reduced compared to the October filing.
According to the documents Blige has already been helping him out.
She gave Isaacs $35,000 in August, $50,000 in September, $25,000 in October, $30,000 in January this year and another $30,000 last month for spousal support, in addition to $55,000 for his legal counsel.
In the October filing it stated Isaacs had already spent the money received in August and September because he had to ‘secure new living accommodations’.
He added his bank and checking account was overdrawn, with a balance of -$13,104.
While in the latest paperwork he says the money he’s since received has gone on legal fees.
In all legal paperwork Isaacs argues that a pre-nuptial agreement (PNA) he signed two days before he married Blige in December, 2003 isn’t valid.
In his personal declaration he states that he did not have legal representation when he signed the PNA, which waives spousal support, while Blige did.
He also said that at the time he did not ‘understand the consequences of what I was about to sign’.
Isaacs is requesting the ‘temporary spousal support’ to cover him until an anticipated ‘bifurated trial’ on the matter goes ahead.
A hearing in the PNA case is scheduled for July 11, 2017.
In his statement Isaacs says that as a wedding gift to him and Blige, Sir Elton John gave them a piano.
He says Blige will be releasing a new recording album in the near future and that between October and December 2016 the singer toured Europe and the U.S. through a contract Isaacs helped negotiate with Live Nation and she pocketed $4.85 million.
Isaacs has been unable to get another job since being fired because the entertainment industry is ‘cutthroat’ and his job search is much more of a ‘nuanced’ process than sending out his resume, according to the filing.
He adds that he has been vilified in the press since the divorce was announced, which he blames partly on Blige for marketing her ‘divorce songs’ and her portrayal of him in interviews.
He claims to have kept quiet in the media, ‘out of respect for Ms Blige and our personal privacy.’
All along Isaacs has claimed to have had a ‘significant role’ in growing Blige’s career, negotiating ‘practically every deal on behalf’ of the songstress since their marriage.
‘Although Ms Blige was a recording artist before we married, her income significantly increased during the marriage as I was her personal manager,’ he claims.
The nine-time Grammy Award-winner had released six studio albums before the couple got married.
She had already made the Billboard Hot 100 in 2001 with one of of her most famous songs, Family Affair, and her album Love & Life made the Billboard 200 in August 2003, selling nearly 300,000 copies in its first week.
