Governor Nathan Deal of Georgia signed a boating safety bill into law, dubbed the “Kile Glover Boat Education Law“. The bill comes after Tameka Raymond lost her son Kile Glover in a tragic boating accident last year.

The provisions of the “Kile Glover Boat Education Law” increases the age requirement for wearing a personal flotation device from 10 to 13 years old. It also lowers the blood alcohol content limit for boaters to 0.08, which is the same legal limit for Georgia drivers. It will go into effect on May 15th.

Kudos to Tameka Raymond for using her circumstances to make a difference and help protect other children.
