Fashion Designer Marc Jacobs Named New Creative Director For Diet Coke [Photos]

Diet Coke

Fashion Designer, Marc Jacobs sure is tatt…tatt…tatted up in his Diet Coke Ad entitled ‘Photo Booth Break’, which is a nod to the famous 1990s Diet Coke ad ‘Diet Coke Hunk’.

If designing some of the hottest fashions for his own fashion lines, as well as Louis Vuitton wasn’t enough to keep Marc Jacobs busy, he has now been appointed the Creative Director of Diet Coke for 2013! This partnership will coincide with Diet Coke’s 30th anniversary entitled “Sparkling Together for 30 Years.” Marc Jacobs will oversee the aesthetic in hopes to bring something fresh and new, but very signature Marc Jacobs style. Jacobs told WWD that his designs for the brand are ‘whimsical feminine’.  The cans will be unveiled February 25th and aluminum bottles will be given a makeover also, and revealed on March 12. Marc stated…

I feel very privileged to  be the new Creative Director of Diet Coke and put my stamp on the 30th  anniversary campaign. Diet Coke is an icon… and I love an icon!

Will Marc’s influence make you drink more Diet Coke? Let’s not forget that Marc has a lot of influence, being named  Time Magazine’s “2010 Time 100” list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and ranked 14th on Out Magazine’s 2012 list of “50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America”.
