Common continues to make big moves in Hollywood.
The 45-year-old, who won an Academy Award in 2015 for Best Original Song, will star in the revenge thriller Quick Draw from Content Media and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

The plot is mostly under wraps, but the pic will feature hyper-intense shootouts, choreographed car chases and hand-to-hand combat and is set in Los Angeles. Di Bonaventura is producing with Content Media’s Tom Butterfield and David Greenblatt via his Greenlit Creative.
Quick Draw begins shooting this summer and marks the first time Common will topline a film.
Common’s previous screen credits include 2016’s critically panned Suicide Squad, Brown Sugar and Selma.
