One man has had it up to here with the Kardashians.
Plastic Jesus, a controversial Los Angeles street artist, recently posted several “No Kardashian Parking Any Time” signs in and around Hollywood as a social commentary on America’s obsession with celebrity culture. He was inspired when the Kardashians’ departure from a store brought traffic to a standstill.
Plastic Jesus spoke with The Hollywood Reporter to offer up his thoughts.
“The Kardashian family has become ingrained in our culture. We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions. I guarantee that same number of paparazzi was far greater than any number of photographers chasing real news.”
Many may recall that Plastic Jesus was behind the cocaine-snorting Oscar seen several weeks ago and the “Stop Making Stupid People Famous” campaign that began a few years ago.
In all, Plastic Jesus posted a total of seven “No Kardashian Parking Any Time” signs, even posting one outside of the ladies’ clothing boutique DASH.
