Kordell Stewart insists he had absolutely nothing to do with ‘delivert’ Andrew Caldwell — and he’s telling the truth.
At the time of the interview, Kordell wasn’t sure if he was going to file a lawsuit against Andrew…but now he has.
The suit, filed in DeKalb County Superior Court, also names “The Gospel Truth” creator and producer Jarrius Keyun Moon and Catalyst Next LLC, which controls the Internet morning show “The ShakeUP,” where Caldwell made statements claiming he and Stewart had a relationship.
“At all times during his life, Mr. Stewart has been, and is, a heterosexual male,” the suit states. It claims that Caldwell, a cast member of the upcoming show “The Gospel Truth,” colluded with Moon to concoct a compelling fable “to generate interest for ‘The Gospel Truth.’”
“The false and defamatory rumors that Mr. Caldwell and Defendant Moon agreed to publish are centered around Mr. Stewart having an extra-marital, sexual relationship with Mr. Caldwell,” it states.
Andrew now tells TMZ that he made it all up, but also says he isn’t worried about the lawsuit.
TMZ Sports spoke with Caldwell who says … “It’s true, I never dated Kordell. But I’m not worried about the lawsuit. If Kordell wants money, he has money. I don’t owe him a dime.”
What’s weird is despite the “I’m not worried” demeanor — Caldwell seems to admit he hurt Stewart’s reputation.
“[What I said] did damage Kordell. He has a son. For his son to think, ‘Is my dad gay?’ That is damaging.”
And it gets even weirder … Caldwell says Kordell has since trashed HIM while denying the gay rumors — and he’s considering filing a lawsuit of his own.
“I may go after Kordell. Yes, I hurt his name, but he also hurt mine.”
If Andrew lied about this whole thing, he needs his a*s whooped!
