Karrueche Tran caught a bit of backlash this morning after slamming ‘lean’ just hours following the death of Fredo Santana.
As reported, Fredo died of a seizure which is believed to have been in connection with his frequent use of the syrup.
The more you drink lean (a cocktail of prescription cough syrup and promethazine), the more likely you are suffer some of the serious effects, such as seizures.
Karrueche wrote in a now-deleted tweet Saturday morning:
“LEAN IS WEAK AF #lame #corny #sorrynotsorry.”
She’s sorry now.
“That totally came out the wrong way,” she wrote. “Wasn’t tryna offend anyone. I meant it in general terms. Bad timing.”
While she apologized for the timing of the tweet, she still stands behind her initial sentiment.
“What I said was 1000% true,” she continued. “It was bad timing and seemed directed towards Fredo (RIP) which it wasn’t at all.”
We’re sure Karrueche wasn’t trying to take a dig at anyone’s passing, but she’s right. Lean IS weak af.
