Cardi B thanked medical professionals for their tireless efforts amid the coronavirus pandemic with a massive meal donation.
The “I Like It” rapper supplied 20,000 bottles of Owyn, a plant-based vegan meal supplement drink, to hospitals around the city, her rep confirmed to Page Six.
The idea behind the generous donation was to provide sustenance for medical staffers and ambulance crews who are too busy to have a proper meal during their hectic shifts, TMZ reported.
Cardi was recently hospitalized but assured fans it was not over COVID-19.
The 27-year-old artist has been vocal about her fears over the virus.
“I don’t know what this f—k this coronavirus is about. I don’t know understand how this s—t was from Wuhan, China, now all of a sudden this s—t is on motherf—king tour,” she said in an expletive-filled rant in March. “I ain’t gonna front — a bitch is scared. S—t got me panicking, and a lot of you motherf—kers think it’s a joke.”
Her rep did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
