Watch: Janelle Monae and Alicia Keys Speak and Perform at the Women’s March on Washington [Video]

Alicia Keys and Janelle Monae both took to the stage at the Women’s March on Washington to speak as well as perform.

“We will not allow our bodies to be owned and controlled by men in government, or men anywhere for that matter. We will not allow our compassionate souls to get stepped on. We want the best for all Americans. No hate, no bigotry, no Muslim registry. We value education, health care and equality,” Alicia told to the crowd.

She then performed a bit of her song, “Girl on Fire.”

Janelle gave and equally-as-rousing speech before singing her protest song “Hell You Talmbout” along with Jidenna and others. She was then joined on stage by the mothers of police-related deaths and other unjust deaths to shout out the names of those who have been killed.

It was truly a beautiful moment. Watch below.
