Shonda Rhimes’ TGIT trifecta of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder returns on September 24, but the TV titan is looking to shake things up with a new divorce comedy and convent drama for the ABC network.
Titled Splitsville, the divorce comedy hails from Trophy Wife creators Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins.
Per Deadline:
On “Splitsville,” in the wake of a wave of divorces, the single residents of a suburban cul-de-sac join forces to raise their kids and get through it together.
Cute premise!
The currently untitled convent drama “revolves around a group of Catholic nuns fighting the closure of their Bronx-based convent who must suddenly deal with three young novices whose arrival unearths long-buried secrets” (Deadline).
Alison Schapker will pen the script.
Sounds juicy!
