Lady Gaga’s video for “Do What U Want” featuring R. Kelly ultimately never saw the light of day despite a few photo teasers being released — and now we know why.

The official reason the video was pulled because of time constraints and betrayal, but now we’ve learned that it’s because Gaga found out about the sexual assault claims facing the video’s director, Terry Richardson.

According to the NY Post, the allegations shook Gaga’s team and they decided not to release the video.

But what about R. Kelly and his child molestation allegations? As soon as R. Kelly appeared on the song, new reports surrounding his alleged misconduct hit the Internet and the backlash began to burn.

In the video for  “Do What U Want,” you see Gaga laying in a hostpital bed and R. Kelly plays the doctor. At one point he reaches under the sheet while Gaga moans and responds “Sound’s like that medicine’s starting to kick in” and she passes out.

That’s when a party starts on top of her body.

Terry Richardson is seen in the video as well — taking pictures of Gaga while she’s naked and touching herself.

Sources say that at one point Gaga asks Kelly, ‘Will I ever be able to walk again?’ To which he replies, ‘Yes, if you let me do whatever I want with your body,’ before adding, ‘ I’m putting you under, and when you wake up, you’re going to be pregnant.’

Say what now?

The source also adds:

“Gaga had a video directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, ‘I’m going to do whatever I want with your body’? It was literally an ad for rape.”

If you combine the fact that both the director of the video and the co-star in the video have been accused of sexual assault with the graphic (and borderline pornographic) nature of the video, it’s easy to see why Gaga decided not to release it.

The question is — why would she record such a thing in the first place?
