South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will announce at noon eastern time that Rep. Tim Scott will replace Sen. Jim DeMint, CNN confirms.
Obviously, this isn’t thrilling news for Democrats, but what is exciting is that Scott will be the first black senator the state of South Carolina has had in more than a century!
