Officer Jason Van Dyke was charged with the first-degree murder of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald after shooting him 16 times in October 2014.
Yesterday, footage recorded from the dash cam of one of the officers on the scene was released and shows Van Dyke mercilessly murdering Laquan — which has since sparked protests in Chicago and across the country.
Chicago native President Obama released a statement via Facebook regarding the footage in which he says he’s ‘deeply disturbed.’
