Miley spoke to E! on the video and dished on her upcoming song with Snoop Dogg.
“You can’t really explain [twerking],” Miley said. “It’s something that comes naturally…It’s a lot of booty action.”
“I’ve been practicing probably for the past two years, in my own time in my living room,” she added. And all that hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“I can’t believe how many people think I’m good at twerking—which is dope—like my life goal has been accomplished,” she quipped. “I thought it was so weird, but I’m glad that everyone understands my humor.”
“I haven’t really seen one bad comment about my twerk video,” she said, then added jokingly, “This is the first thing! All right, I can’t sing, I can’t act, I’m dumb, I’m a hillbilly, but I can twerk, so whatever!”
Amen, sistafriend. Plus, Miley’s skills have brought twerking to the masses. She tweeted a sassy photo of herself in a black-and-white jumpsuit with a shout-out to her newly accrued “#MCTWERKTEAM”
And while it remains to be determined whether Snoop Dogg is a member of this team, he’s most definitely a supporter. “I did a song with Snoop, and it’s coming out very, very soon!” Miley gushed. “Recorded, done and I’m like so excited!”
