Mariah Carey already dominates the airwaves each holiday season thanks to her timeless classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” but now Mariah’s ready to bring her Christmas cheer to the box office.
MC is set to start in an upcoming Christmas movie being developed by New Line Cinema.

Producer Jonathan Shestack confirmed Tuesday that New Line Cinema is developing the untitled project, which he will co-produce alongside Mariah’s BFF Brett Ratner.
“It’s a little bit about how music can take you back in time,” he told EW. “It will be everything you hope a Christmas movie with Mariah Carey would be.”
David Diamond and David Weissman, the writers behind The Family Man, were also tapped for the film, and James Packer and John Cheng of RatPac Entertainment will executive produce. The soundtrack will feature plenty of high notes from the pop diva who, according to Shestack, “is like the empress of Christmas.”
