via People:

Pearl Jam, Journey, Electric Light Orchestra join solo artists Tupac Shakur and Janet Jackson among the 19 nominees this year, as announced by Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This marks the second consecutive year on the ballot for Jackson. The nomination comes at an exciting time for the singer, 50, who recently announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana.

Late rap icon Shakur made it onto the list of nominees in his first year of eligibility. Artists must have released their first single or album at least 25 years ago, or no later than 1991 for the 2017 nominees, to be considered. Shakur released his first album 2Pacalyspse Now in 1991.

Grunge rock band Pearl Jam also became eligible for nomination for the first time this year.

Other nominees include The Cars, Joan Baez, The Zombies, Kraftwerk, Yes, The Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, J. Geils Band, Jane’s Addiction, Joe Tex, Depeche Mode, MC5 and Steppenwolf.

Starting now through Dec. 5, fans will be able to vote for their favorites by visiting rockhall.com. The top five artists selected by the public will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be factored in the selection process.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2017 inductees will be announced in December 2016, and the artists will be inducted in New York City in April 2017.
