Watch: An Emotional Mariah Carey Performs at Sandy Relief Concert [Video]

An injured Mariah Carey took to the stage to perform for the MLB All-Star Charity Concert for Hurricane Sandy in Central Park yesterday.

Accompanied by the New York Philharmonic, she belted out her hits “My All”, “Hero” and “#Beautiful”. Mariah surprised fans and lambs alike as she delivered her first ever live performance of “Looking In” from her 1995 album, Daydream.

She began to get a bit choked up as she addressed the crowd,

“This requires a bit more stability than I have right now,People who know it, sing along.”

Following the performances, Mariah posted the above photo to Instagram with the caption:

It was truly an honor to perform with world renowned NY Philharmonic. In spite of the pain, I wouldn’t have ever missed this moment. Thanks for helping me get through it and sharing it with me. Love, MC.

  1. the first song is not “my all,” but “twister” from the “glitter” soundtrack.

  2. I’m so proud of Mariah, you could tell it was painful to sing live and still she did it and sounded really good. She’s a professional, I would have stayed in my bed if I’d been in her situation.
