Rick Ross is no stranger to controversial lyrics. His new song, “I Wonder Why” is making headlines this morning for a few Trayvon Martin references.
On the track, he raps from Trayvon’s perspective:
“Now I’m being followed by some creepy ass cracker,” he raps. “Stand your ground/ stand your ground/ stand your ground/ you gotta stand your ground.”
The song also features audio from Rachel Jeantel’s testimony towards the end.
