VH1’s “Behind the Music” series returned Monday, with an episode focused on the life of six-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton. In the episode, which you can view in full below, Braxton discusses her financial troubles, filing for bankruptcy multiple times and having her prized Grammy and American Awards appraised for sale.
“I remember feeling humiliated,” Toni Braxton says of the experience.
Aside from her financial woes, a far more serious struggle for the R&B diva has been her health, as she suffers from lupus, and has faced several other health scares.
“They took me in immediately and said she’s having a heart attack,” she reveals in the special.
