On tonight’s & tomorrow’s Entertainment Tonight, Tammy Faye who currently weighs 62 pounds will share her struggle with cancer. During ET’s two night exclusive Tammy reveals that she’s “in pain 100 percent of the time,” and “At this point, (I’m) not afraid of dying, it’s how will I die.” I’m so sorry Tammy!
For those of you who may not be familiar with this cult gay film (1994), here’s the plot synopsis and a video of my three favorite drag queens ever performing CeCe Peniston’s “Finally.” The costumes designed by Tim Chappel are just splendiferous!
Anthony “Teke” Belrose, a.k.a. Mitzi Del Bra, a drag queen, accepts an offer to perform at a casino in Alice Springs, a remote town in central Australia. After persuading his friends and fellow performers, Bernadette Bassenger, a.k.a. Ralph – a recently bereaved transsexual woman – and Adam Whitely, a.k.a. Felicia Jollygoodfellow – an irritatingly flamboyant and obnoxious drag queen – to join him, the three set out for Alice Springs in a large tour bus which Adam/Felicia christens “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert“. Guy Pearce plays Adam/Felicia, Terence Stamp plays Bernadette/Ralph and Hugo Weaving plays Teke/Mitzi.
They encounter on the way the less accepting attitudes of rural Australia, sexual violence, and the problems of vehicle breakdowns. The troupe eventually arrives at their destination with costumes and dance routines prepared. Before they arrive, Teke reveals that he is married, and that the trip is a favor for his wife, who runs the casino where they will be performing. Upon arriving, they learn that Teke and his wife also have a young son.
Heisman Hero Reggie Bush is certainly not over Kim Kardashian and obviously the feeling is mutual. Krazy K and Mr. Bush were partying this past weekend at TAO in Las Vegas and it is most visible that they didn’t feel they were too close for comfort.
Clearly…Evan Ross has been mushed and pushed to the side!
Thankfully, he’ll always have his momma.
When Heather Broeker made the big move from North Carolina to Los Angeles a few years ago, she was naturally apprehensive. But after tasting everything Los Angeles had to offer, she knew she had made the right move. She wanted to document her experiences and also create a guide for other newbies in LaLa Land, so she created what would come to be known as Survive the City. It all began with funny, anecdotal email updates for friends and family, and that led to the formation of the website—a cohesive location for people to access everything Heather had to say and more. This online guide turned into a veritable source for Angelenos to find out what’s going on in this sprawling city. The site underwent a small hiatus when Heather packed up her apartment and moved to New York to pursue a fabulous job opportunity.
Now it’s 2007, and the site will celebrate big relaunch today, May 29th, with her 10 day cross-country road trip back to sunny southern Cali. The new and improved site will hit on everything you want to know about living in LA, from relationships and traveling to finding a roommate or landing a job. Click HERE to keep up with Heather and the folks behind STC as they venture from the East coast to the West coast! Sign up for her mailing list and receive monthly tips about how to make it in LA right in your inbox.

After being arrested on May 5th for driving under the influence, Ty Pennington pleaded no contest to the drunk driving charges today. The Extreme Home Makeover star was sentenced to 3 years probation, a $390 fine, three months of AA and must participate in a MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) seminar.
He told TMZ, “I’m happy to bring closure to my recent court proceedings. Drinking and driving is never acceptable. I have pleaded no contest and will abide by the court’s ruling. I hope this experience can help others as much as it has helped me.”
At least some people in Hollywood can be mature about their mistakes! Hopefully, he has learned his lesson.
Katherine Heigl recently told USA today that her beef with Isaiah Washington is water under the bridge. She says that for the most part she’s gotten over the racial slur Washington hurled at her friend, T. R. Knight. She was quoted as saying:
“I know that he was very ashamed and that was a necessary emotion to move forward and not backward…His attitude and behavior and thought process needed to change, and the only way to do that is to be self-aware and honest. And I think he was. I have forgiven.
I was ultimately grateful that it opened up a dialogue. To me, I wasn’t making a political stand. I was making a stand about hurting people’s feelings. It’s very simple in my mind. You do not actively seek to hurt other people’s feelings. I don’t care what their sexual orientation, race or gender. You don’t do that.”
On a lighter note, T. R. Knight will grace the cover of The Advocate’s annual Pride Issue. In the magazine he discusses his road to one of the hottest shows on television.
This cover reminds me of a similar photo Matthew McConaughey did in his earlier years. What do you think?
