Tuesday CD Release: Clay Aiken
+ May 6, 2008
Its been 5 years since Clay Aiken’s first album “Measure of A Man” debuted. Well the American Idol star is back and this time he teamed up with OneRepublic’s front man Ryan “Alias” Tedder. Aiken fell in love with a song written by Tedder called “On My Way Here.” The message of the lyrics “how the lessons we learn while growing up shape us into who we become as adults” struck such a deep chord with Aiken that it wound up inspiring the theme and title of his new collection.
“On My Way Here” is loaded with very inspirational songs such as “Ashes” & “Grace of God” that will fill you with hope and faith. Listen to the album and it is apparent that Aiken took his time in producing this seamless album. Be sure to pick up your copy in stores today!

Mariah Carey’s E=MC² In Stores Today!
+ April 15, 2008
Love Muffins, I am so excited! The wait is finally over and the diva of all diva’s is back with E=MC², the follow up to her multi-platinum, Emancipation. Mimi brings the heat with her 11th studio album. Not unlike Emancipation, E=MC² finds Carey stacking the deck with the hottest producers and guest artists in urban music (Jermaine Dupri, StarGate, T-Pain, Damian Marley, Young Jeezy). The result is a extremely enjoyable mix of flirtatious club jams, mid-tempo love songs, and emotional ballads anchored by hip-hop beats that perfectly showcase the singer’s powerful vocal chops.
One track that I absolutely adore is “Last Kiss,” here she reunites with Dupri to recapture the passionate splendor of 2005’s ”We Belong Together.” The golden-throated diva has discovered a formula that works to which; I say that if it ain’t broke than don’t fix it! Mimi will definitely have you on the dance floor doing the paw-paw to her club bangers, ”O.O.C.” and “That Chick,” which, for all of their pop polish, never lose their soulful spirit. For an artist whose career was all but dead four years ago, Mariah proves she is a Phoenix who’s risen from the ashes. Love Muffins be sure to pick up your copy of E=MC² in stores today!

U.K. Sensation Leona Lewis drops her first American album today in the U.S. of A. LoveBScott.com is a positive site. I love for my viewers to be able to form their own opinions and I promote positive thoughts and kind words (or I try to at least) in everything that I do. So with that said… I have no review for this album because MamaBScott taught me that if you don’t have anything nice to say - “then shut your mouth little boy!” So my lips are sealed… and I mean - don’t get me wrong… it’s not even that I hate it - it’s just that its not necessarily my cup of tea. That’s all… Spirit is In Stores Today!
Love Muffins - What are your thoughts on Ms. Leona Lewis’ American rise to fame?

So, there is alot of music being released today… most of it you probably had no idea was coming out - and that’s what I’m here for. To keep you entertained and informed, and I’ll do my best to give you the REAL on what you need to be listening to and what you should probably walk right on pass in the music store today. With that said… Here’s what’s in stores today!

Listen! Can I tell you that this album is sooooo hot! It really is good. I’m listening to this Fat Joe album right now and I’m very very impressed. Hip Hop is absolutely not dead with this album being released. My only issue is - someone needs to pay me to pick singles for these artists. I always have a complaint about that when I hear the album. Fat Joe, your first single should have been CocaBaby! I have to admit that I wasn’t excited about this album when I heard the first single. But I’m trying to tell you. You want to hear this new album from Joe. If you are a Fat Joe fan - I think you are going to be very pleased. In fact - several times while listening to it, I had to stop and just laugh at how fresh Joe’s flow is this time around. Thanks Fat Joe. Elephant In The Room in stores now!
I was talking this morning to a home girl of mine about new music out today, and of course I had to bring up Big Snoop Dogg and his 15 years in the hip hop game. Much respect! She said, “Well. What do you think?” I pursed my lips real tight and said, “well… (sigh) ummm. It’s very - ummm… something.” Now, of course I am mindful that Snoop is a legend in the hip hop game, so there’s not much bad I can say about him and get away with it - however - Sexual Erruption as a lead single may be very telling of what the actual album is like. (end of comment) Given a second chance, I probably would walk on by… but you have minds and opinions of your own - so you decide. Ego Trippin’ in stores now!
The melodic and sweet voiced Sarah Slean also is releasing an album today. I only have good things to say about Sarah. She has a dynamic spirit and is a phenomenal song writer. Do go out and buy Sarah Slean’s new album The Baroness in stores now!
You think, if you’re going to have a commercial hit in hip hop, you should drop a single with T-Pain on it. But the true equation to having a hit single is having Lil’Wayne on it (in my opinion). With that said, again I’d like to suggest my services to A&R divisions everywhere. Let me pick the singles from now on. Rick Ross is back with a follow up to his 2006 success Port of Miami. You may remember him because of how often he’s hustlin’… in fact, according to Ross “everyday” he’s hustlin’. Either way - I’m not convinced that he’s able to have as much commercial success as he did the first time around - but we’ll see. There are some good tracks on this album and I think we may hear from Ross for a little bit longer. I for one love the track with Lil’ Wayne on it. Buy the album - then come back and tell me your thoughts! The Trilla in stores now!
Next Week: Keith Sweat and Danity Kane : ) LOL! I can’t wait to review these albums!
