Let’s go back to 2001, I can still remember like yesterday when I heard the news that Aaliyah had tragically died in an airplane crash just hours after filming the video for “Rock The Boat” one of my favorite songs ever! I love everything (and I do mean everything) about this song and video! I can only imagine how things would have been different in the music game right now if she was still alive. Love you Aaliyah! R.I.P. (B. Scott doing the “Rock The Boat” dance right now!)

Morning Love Muffins, I haven’t done a “Cover Wars” piece in a while so I thought I’d give you another one. I was listening to some of the bonus tracks from Mary J. Blige’s new album and one of them was “Hello, It’s Me” which is one of my favorite songs. “Hello, It’s Me” was originally recorded in the 70s by the rocker Todd Rundgren but since then has had a soul make-over by some great artists. I agree with Pete Wentz (Ashlee’s boyfriend) when he described it as “probably the weirdest video I’ve seen of hers” and said that it, like the song, “has this kind of multiple personality.” I love it!
