October 2, 2007 Eve’s Album Pushed!

She released two singles that did fairly well on the radio, so why oh why is Eve’s album being pushed back until 2008? This is not the first change. The original dates were August, September and October for the release. Somebody’s not doing our girl right, and we want to know what’s up! None of her reps are talking about the change of dates or the reason why, but we hope this means they’re tweaking the album and getting things on point for the new year. Usually these types of push backs are a bad sign, so we have our fingers crossed for Eve.

Tynisha Keli is an incredible new talent signed with Warner Bros. music. Originally from Massachusetts, the portuguese R&B star on the rise moved to L.A. when she was only 14 and has been taking the industry by storm surely yet steadily. In the same pool of voices as artists such as JoJo, Tynisha has been smart in building a lot of publicity and buzz around her upcoming song, video and album release. With numerous myspace fans and youtube buzz, she is certainly someone to look out for. Her tracks “I wish you Loved me” and “Wanted” are pop perfection. “Wanted” is not released yet but is rumored to be a track that she recorded not too long ago in Atlanta with the Corna boys. A video for “I wish you loved me” should be coming in December with her album, “Even if it Takes Forever” hopefully soon following in late 2007.

Tynisha says her musical influences include Whitney Houston, Brandy, Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige. She seems to be an ambitous talent with a nice vocal presence and character. We can’t wait to see what she brings!

September 26, 2007 Mariah Carey Reveals New Album Title

mariahcarey2.jpg

Mariah Carey has a new album that drops on December 4 and people are buzzing with the rumored new title. From her past album titles, it’s easy to see that Mariah has a well-established theme (Butterfly, Glitter, Daydream, Rainbow…you get the picture). The good news is that she didn’t choose something like Unicorn or Fairydust. And she also didn’t pick something like The Emancipation of Mimi which sounded like an escape from a psychiatric hospital and did nothing to quiet the “crazy” rumors. This one seems a little better.

The rumored title of the new album is going to be (drumroll please) Sweet Soul Odyssey. Now that I think about it, this title may actually be one of the more straightforward titles she’s ever chosen. She recently told RollingStone magazine.

“Seriously, I can’t wait to put this record out,” says Carey. “I’m in the studio day and night trying to cook it to perfection. If the last album was dinner, treat this as dessert.”

She’s said to be working with Brian Michael Cox, Jermaine Dupri, Swizz Beatz, Johnta Austin, Stargate, Nate “Danja Handz” Hills, and Will.I.Am. Of course it’s still early, and the title is subject to change, but it’s interest nonetheless. Your thoughts?
