Britney Spears To Kick Off MTV VMAs!
+ September 5, 2008
Take me higher lord! As previously posted, Britney Spears will indeed kick off the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday and here’s what she had to say!
“MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?” Britney said in a statement to MTV. “I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”
Can you believe that, despite her sixteen past nominations, she has never won a VMA? This year Brit-Brit is up for Video of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Female Video for her single “Piece of Me.”
We all remember her disastrous performance of “Gimme More” at last year’s VMAs, and on that note Britney will not open this year’s show with a performance. Read more

+ September 2, 2008
Do you remember the drama between Ne-Yo and R. Kelly regarding Ne-Yo being kicked off the ‘Double Up’ tour last year then he turned around and sued R. Kelly earlier this year? Well, R. Kelly’s promoter was ordered by a Los Angeles judge to pay $700,320 since Ne-Yo was suppose to earn $785,000 while on the tour. Get that money Ne-Yo! Thoughts?
T.I. Ecstatic About Huge Billboard Leap!
+ August 30, 2008
Things are looking good for T.I. right at this moment, not only does he have the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, it jumped up 70 spots in one week!
“I guess people like the song — I hope that’s what accounts for it,” T.I. told Billboard.com Friday in Detroit, where he was making a pair of community service appearances to speak to local youth. It’s part of 1,000 hours he’s required to serve in conjunction with his 2007 federal weapons conviction. “I think it’s a new sound for me, something people aren’t necessarily used to hearing. It’s one of those risky records. It just happened to work in our favor.” Billboard
His upcoming album Paper Trail will be his third album in three years (2006’s King and 2007’s T.I. vs. T.I.P.). He might have a chance to debut at #1 with this album. I wouldn’t be surprised since his last 2 albums reached #1 on the charts. Make sure you pick up the album on September 30th. Thoughts?

New Album: Lykke Li - Youth Novels
+ August 23, 2008
This past Tuesday, Swedish music sensation Lykke Li finally released her debut album “Youth Novels” after complaining to her mentor, Bjorn “of Peter and John fame” Yttling, that everything had gone wrong because she was twenty and still hadn’t released an album. Now twenty-two, she finally has succeed by releasing her album on Atlantic Records. Lykke Li has a soft soothing voice that I can sit back and relax to while I a sip on a shut yo mouth potion. For more on this artist, please visit her official website. Check out two of her videos for “Little Bit” and “I’m Good, I’m Gone” after the jump -
