November 20, 2009 Jam It? Or Slam It? Jennifer Lopez – Louboutins (First Single)

jennifer-lopez-lola

Jennifer Lopez is getting ready to perform her brand new single “Louboutins” for the first time this sunday at the American Music Awards. This track was originally recorded by Brandy. I actually really like the track, it’s much better than her buzz single “Fresh Out The Oven”. Her new album Love? is due out soon.

What do you think love muffins? Jam it? Or Slam it?

November 17, 2009 New Music: Alicia Keys – Dreaming

ak-real-cover

Alicia Keys’ album The Element of Freedom is set for release in December. The newest track to leak from the upcoming project is a soft airy ballad called “Dreaming”. The song reminds me of a mix between her previous songs “Nobody Not Really” and “Butterflyz”. I actually really like it.

A new song from Rihanna’s album leaked online last night. “Cold Case Love” was produced by Justin Timberlake’s production group, The Y’s, and is probably the most direct shot at Chris Brown on the entire record. After the jump, check out this behind the scenes look at Rihanna’s cover shoot for her new album Rated R. Also, get into these new shots of Rihanna’s new music video for “Russian Roulette”, which premieres tonight during 20/20!

November 12, 2009 New Music: Beyoncé & Lady Gaga – Video Phone (Extended Remix) + Telephone

alg_beyonce_lady-gaga

UPDATE: Lady Gaga’s hot like fire track “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé has just been added. The darkchild produced club banger is miles better than the “Video Phone” remix and it’s guaranteed to make you shimmy & shake!

We may not have the music video yet, but the remix just hit! Beyoncé and Lady Gaga teamed up and gave us the “Video Phone (Extended Remix)”. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m a fan of Gaga’s contribution. She doesn’t seem to add anything to the song. I like the extended instrumentals and extra ad-libs though…

In any case, I’m still excited for the video!

New Music: Mariah Carey – 100 Percent + X-Factor Performance

mariah_performance3

“100 Percent” was supposed to serve as the lead single for the movie Precious, but it was later replaced with a Mary J. Blige song due to the fact that director Lee Daniels wanted to focus on Mariah’s acting and not her voice. A snippet of the song leaked earlier, but now we have the full version.

November 7, 2009 New Music: Robin Thicke – Shakin’ It For Daddy & Meiplé (Me I Play)

It looks as though Robin Thicke is ditching his usual soul sound for more of a commercial hip-hop sound with this next album. “Shakin’ It For Daddy” (featuring Nicki Minaj) is set to be the second single from his upcoming Sex Therapy album. “Meiplé (Me I Play)” is another cut off the album that premiered on NYC’s Hot 97 radio station yesterday. Sex Therapy is set for release on December 15th.

Love muffins, are you feeling Robin Thicke’s new sound?

New Music: Shakira Ft. Kid Cudi – Did It Again (Remix)

Shakira_did_it_again

Shakira is releasing the US version of her new album She Wolf on November 23rd and she’s including a few extra tracks for us. “Did It Again” was originally supposed to be her second US single, but now it’s the second international single and the Timbaland & Lil Wayne assisted “Give It Up To Me” is in its place. This remix featuring Kid Cudi is a bonus track from the US edition of the album. I like the song, but I wish they would have left the original beat intact.
