Jam It Or Slam It: Jennifer Hudson - All Dressed Up In Love

Jennifer Hudson is not only starring in the much anticipated Sex and The City movie, but she also contributed a new song to the soundtrack. “All Dress Up In Love” is 70s-style soul groove that really makes you want to dance and reminds me of old-school Patti Labelle and Chaka Khan. After Dreamgirls I was expecting a full album within the year but I guess Clive Davis is taking a while to perfect her debut album. All I know is that I cannot wait for this movie to come out and now I’m looking forward to what Jennifer Hudson will do with her music. And to think I almost forgot about this Oscar winning diva! Jam It or Slam It: Lindsay Lohan - Bossy

A new track off of Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming third studio album surfaced on Tuesday.

“I wrote it for her because when she’s on her game, you can see these traits in her. When she’s focused, she exudes the aura of a boss with ease,” Ne-Yo explains. “When [producer] Stargate and I were approached with the task, we viewed it as a challenge. ‘Can we make a song for Lindsay Lohan that people were gonna take seriously?’ I think we did it.”

The song has actually grown on me so much from first listen and now I love it! Get it girl and stay out of trouble!

Love muffins, Teairra Mari’s new song “No, No, No” has been floating around the Internet for about a week, so I decided to post it. Do you even remember her? Well, you can check out her debut song “Make Her Feel Good” on YouTube. She came on the scene at the same time when Rihanna did. However, she and Roc-A-Fella parted ways. Now she is back with a brand new track. I think the song is okay, buy I am looking forward from hearing more from her. Thoughts?

Jam It or Slam It: The Touch - Le Night Dominator

Heeeeeey Love Muffins! We missed our Wednesday “Jam It or Slam It” so you will get it today!

Today’s post features a band from Sweden called “The Touch”. Some have called them “the new hope of electronic music.” They also did a unique cover of The Spice Girls megahit “Wannabe” which you can check out here. What I like about a song (and video) like this is that it comes across as raw and full of emotion. Even if you can’t understand the language being sung, the feeling behind it comes through.

Cassie’s new single “Official Girl” just leaked and I wanted to know what you guys thought. Cassie has never been one for stellar vocals but somehow her songs can really get stuck in your head. WOW! WOW! WOW! Kylie hits it out of the park again with another simple, catchy dance-pop song that will blow up in the clubs. Similar to “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” even with another full-body suit costume… I love it and all the colorful 80’s reference it brings. It’s fresh so you better get into it!

After releasing two gospel albums, Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child) is about to release her first secular album, Unexpected, later this summer. The first single “We Break The Dawn” is an upbeat dance/pop song that is a real departure from her previous work. Jam It or Slam It? Nelly - Party People (Feat. Fergie)

Love muffins Nelly is back! The Saint-Louis rapper is getting ready to release his new album Brass Knuckles set to hit the streets, June 24th! As we know first single “Wadsyaname” really didn’t connect with radio or even his fans for that matter, so his album was pushed back. Well Nelly dusted himself off and here new single “Party People” which was Polow Da Don, featuring Fergie that just hit the internet tonight and will impact radio April 15th! The part of the song when Nelly and Fergie match each others fast flows is hot like fire! So you guys know the drill, are we going to jam or slam it?

Jam or Slam It? Michelle Williams - Stop This Car (Full Version)

As we know Michelle Williams has finished recording her third studio album which is scheduled for release in early May. This Destiny’s Child member is rumored to have collaborated with Darkchild, Stargate and Timbaland on her upcoming project and recently confirmed through her official MySpace page that her lead single will be “Stop This Car”. In addition to the full version “Stop This Car” that was just sent to me, clips for “Break The Dawn” and “Unexpected” have recently been leaked to the internet as well. So the question is are we going to jam or slam “Stop This Car” today?

Jam It or Slam It? Sam Sparro - Black & Gold

Electronica is starting to influence a lot of popular music these days (ex. Madonna’s album Confessions On A Dance Floor, Janet’s current album Discipline) so today’s Jam It or Slam It is going to follow suit:

Sam Sparro is from Los Angeles but his music is starting to hit hard in the UK. His single “Black & Gold” is sexy, slinky and reminds me of Goldfrapp. His personal style has an 80’s vibe which I am really getting into.
