2. Watch This! “Blades of Glory”

As previously reported, a couple of us here at Lovebscott.com were able to check out a screening of this movie. It’s hilarious! If you’re a fan of Will Farrell and/or Jon Heder, you’ll love this movie. It opens in theaters this weekend, so get your tickets!

Lately I have been playing Madonna’s “Bedtime Stories” non-stop! The album is great from beginning to end, the highlights of the album for me are “Survival”, “Secret”, “Human Nature” and “I’d Rather Be Your Lover” which is my favorite song from the album!

5. Do This! Culture Yourself!

There are several cool museums in LA—you just have to do your research. Take a drive out to Malibu and experience the newly renovated and Roman-inspired Getty Villa. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is constantly updating its exhibits, sponsoring programs and hosting events. If you’re on the Westside, try the Santa Monica Museum of Art. If you want to get back to your roots or explore the history of another, try the Japanese American National Museum, the California African American Museum or the Museum of Latin American Art. If you want to entertain the kids, take them to the Zimmer Children’s Museum or the Kidspace Children’s Museum. Unfortunately, there’s no sex museum! You’ll have to buy a ticket to New York for that!

All we have to say is LAUDAMERCY IT’S FRIDAY! You only have a couple days of relaxation, so pick one of these things to really make it memorable.

1. Drink This! “Adios Motherf*$ker”

It’s going to be ninety degrees in some parts of Southern Cali this weekend, so usher in the warm weather right. On the East coast, you know it as a Long Island Iced Tea. Here on the West Coast, they make it blue and call it an “Adios” or an “A.M.F.” No matter what you call it, one of these will get you crunk!

1/2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. light rum
1/2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. blue curacao
2 oz. sour mix
7-Up

Mix everything together in a Tom Collins glass, garnish with a cherry and sip your way to intoxication. Just be safe doing so!

2. Watch This! “Premonition”

Sandra Bullock is back with a suspense/thriller that will hopefully keep you gripping the arm of your chair. In this movie, Sandra’s plays a housewife whose husband (played by the beautiful Julian McMahon) dies in a car crash and reappears the next day. She has to figure out the clues to this premonition in an attempt to prevent it from happening in real life. There has been a lot of buzz about her return to the big screen, so hopefully it will do well!

Green isn’t normally my go-to color for fashion but it’s St. Patty’s day. So like it or not you have to rock your green! You don’t want to get PINCHED do you?

4. Hear This! “Once Again”

This album is far from new but I recently put John Legend’s Once Again back in my stereo and I have fallen in love all over again. If you’re a fan of old soul music you must listen to this. It 10x better than his first album.

5. Do This! “Go Irish!”

Saturday is St. Patrick’s day, but you don’t to be from the land of shamrocks to drink green Guinness (or apple martinis if you’re always and forever classy)! Find the nearest Irish pub or restaurant and make a few new friends because on St. Patty’s Day, anyone can use the phrase ‘Kiss me, I’m Irish’! There are TONS of clubs and sports bars taking advantage of the fact that the holiday is on a Saturday this year, so hit the streets! In fact, start early—some places will serve you eggs and Heineken starting at 6:00 am!

The weekend is upon us, and I know we’re all saying T.G.I.F. We here at lovebscott.com want you to maximize the minimal time off from your everyday responsibilities, so here are our suggestions as to how you can take it up a notch this weekend!

1. Drink This! “Luscious Lychee Martini”

This is B.Scott’s favorite drink, so it has to be classy right? There may be a lot directions for this one, but it’s worth it.

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 cup drained canned lychees (16-20 oz. can)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
6 oz (3/4 cup) vodka
1 1/2 oz (3 tablespoons) Cointreau

Heat the sugar and water until dissolved, pour into a heatproof bowl and set in ice water, stirring until syrup is cold. Purée lychees and sugar syrup in blender until smooth, pour mixture through a sieve into a martini shaker and discard all pulp. Fill shaker halfway with ice cubes and add lychee purée, vodka, and Cointreau. (If you’re feeling a little less Rachel Ray in the kitchen, shake up lychee liqueur and lychee juice with some vodka, pour and sip!)

2. Watch This! “300“

This one should come as no surprise since we’ve been featuring some of the fine male specimens from this movie all week long. In all seriousness, the reviews for this movie say that the acting and cinematography alone are enough to make this one of the best movie of the year. It is an adaptation of the famous graphic novel by Frank Miller (who also wrote Sin City) about a Spartan King who leads his army of 300 to fight the Persians and their massive army of one million soldiers. Don’t miss this one! Refer here should you need a refresher!

3. Wear This! “Go Vacay”

As demonstrated by the Dsquared’s Spring 2007 runway collection, the newest trend for spring is to dress like you’re on summer vacation! (Think Martha’s Vineyard or The Hamptons!). If the weather permits, ladies need to break out your big hats, sunglasses, and strappy sandals! And gentlemen can find comfort in those short shorts and canvas shoes. Think Summer!

4. Hear This! Young Love

OMG! I’m so in love with this CD. Young Love is a new electronic/dance band lead by frontman Dan Keyes. Their debut album, Too Young To Fight It, will definitely get you in the party mode. You may recognize their single “Find A New Way” as the theme from the MTV show Dancelife. This CD is just so different from everything else that’s out right now. I’m totally in love!

5. Do This! Breathe

Take a little time to Meditate. I don’t wanna get too hippie or granola on you guys, but taking a small moment to center yourself can really make a big difference. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives that sometimes we forget to take a moment and BREATHE! It’s so simple, even a baby can do it!

It’s Friday again and the weekend has official just begun. Don’t let another weekend fly by without doing something really interesting. As usual I’m gonna give you just a few suggestions to really MAKE YOUR WEEKEND POP! Try at least one or two and I’m sure it’ll make a difference!

Drink This! “Between The Sheets”

This one is surely Tasty and Titillating!
Ingredients: 1 oz Bacardi rum, 1/2 oz Cognac, 3 oz passionfruit juice, 1/2 oz lime juice
Directions: Combine in shaker with ice. Serve in rocks glass with lime and cherry.

Watch This! “Zodiac“

Zodiac, featuring my future baby daddy Jake Gyllenhaal, premieres today and the reviews across the board have been stellar. I strongly advise that you treat yourself to this wonderful new suspense/thriller. There’s nothing like a good movie to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Wear This! “Get Sporty”

Ladies: Try wearing a HOODIE this weekend. Whether you dressed it up or dressed it down, nothing says “SPORTY CHIC” like a hot hoodie! Plus if you run into an ex-boyfriend you can totally go incognito!

Gents: Enough with the boring sneakers, this weekend give your kicks a much needed DOSE OF COLOR. Besides, if you’re not blessed in the looks department it’ll keep people looking at your feet!

Ciara’s sophomore CD is definitely a winner. It’s got the beats and the flare to make your weekend CRUNK! Trust Me, you won’t be disappointed!

Do This! “Give Them A Call”

Don’t be such a baby! This weekend let bygones be bygones. Pick up the phone and call that person you’ve been dreading speaking to. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff! However if they hang up on you, you have my total permission to give them a swift KICK IN THE ASS!

**Washington Apple Cocktail**
Ingredients: 2 oz of Apple Schnapps, 2 oz Crannberry Juice and 2 oz Rye/Whiskey
Directions: Pour DeKuyper sour apple pucker and Crown Royal canadian whisky into a highball glass filled with ice. Add cranberry juice, more to taste if desired, and serve.
