Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) is a cool, confident teenager who takes a nine-month detour into adulthood when she’s faced with an unplanned pregnancy-and sets out to find the perfect parents for her baby. In this hardscrabble town, where the main excitement centers around the holy roller church of charismatic preacher Eli Sunday (Paul Dano), Plainview and H.W. make their lucky strike. But even as the well raises all of their fortunes, nothing will remain the same as conflicts escalate and every human value – love, hope, community, belief, ambition and even the bond between father and son – is imperiled by corruption, deception and the flow of oil. Listen! There’s really nothing to say – other than the fact that – when I was younger I use to be so frustrated about the fact that Alvin got all that shine and Simon and Theodore just had to kick it in the background. I mean really? Alvin (long pause) and the Chipmunks…??? Whatever… LOL!

I Am Legend starring Will Smith

I saw this movie in theaters TWICE – that’s how much I enjoyed it. The first time I saw it I said to myself, “This is demonic” — because these infected zombie creatures came jumping out of nowhere. I literally screamed out loud “Lawdhavemercykellyclarksoneddiemurphy” – but that didn’t get me far – because the special effects in this movie were so fantastic and all-of-a-sudden that even the calming peace of the Lord along with the special powers of Kelly Clarkson and Eddie Murphy combined couldn’t keep me from jumping all over the place. I had to go back and see that thing again though – it got so good to me. Plus … Will Smith played the hell out of that role! And now here I am – telling you to go buy it – because – it’s in stores – yup – that’s right – TODAY!
