Tonight is the night we’ve been waiting for! The 2009 VH1 Divas special features the music industry’s next divas. Making appearances on tonight’s show are: Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Adele, Kelly Clarkson. The will also be performances from veteran divas: Toni Braxton, Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge and a few others. Congratulations are in order for Ms. Whitney Houston! Whitney currently has the number one album in the country after selling 301k copies in the first week! This makes for the largest opening sales week of any female artist this year. That’s an amazing accomplishment and I’m glad to see Whitney back and doing her thing.

Don’t forget to catch what Oprah calls “the best interview I’ve ever done,” and an emotional performance of “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” on the season premiere of Oprah. The two-part episode airs Monday, September 14th, followed by part two on September 15th at 4pm EST.
