Sabra and Dominic gave us a nice jive. If anyone saw the package that came on before they performed, you would’ve seen just how many times the poor girl has been dropped by her partner! When they did that last big lift, I surely thought Sabra will go topping to the ground right there on stage! They pulled it together though. It wasn’t my favorite dance the two have done together, but it once again showcased their pure chemistry. (We think they’re doing it in real life!)
.
Danny and Anya were beautiful. Again, this is not one of our favorite dances—the foxtrot, that is—but they’re both so graceful that it’s worth it to watch just for that. Danny’s leaps are amazing, and for the first time, he was complimented on his ability to release and connect with the dance and his character. That’s a pretty good sign that he may finally be relating to the judges as a person, so maybe that will keep him around longer.
.
Sara and Pasha did a super duper specwackular jazz piece. They, as dancers, looked great. But compared to what they’ve done in the past, and considering that it was in fact a jazz piece, it could’ve had so much more life! The choreography was somewhat simple and unintriguing. After last week’s West Coast Swing, I think we were all waiting for something more. Hope this doesn’t put them in the bottom!
.
Were you feeling that hip hop routine from Lacey and Kameron? She always has a crazy spunk about her that’s fun, and she clearly popped it like she knows what she’s doing. Kameron did his little b-boy thing too. For some reason, the connection with this one wasn’t there, although it wasn’t terrible. Up until this point, Dominic and Sabra still hold the trophy for the best hip hop piece after last week’s show.

Sorry love muffins, but Hok is out of here! Compared with the other guys, he’s definitely missing out in terms of the technical training, and at the end of the day, the winner will always be someone who is multidimensional with a strong technical background. He did give it a good go on this one though, but Jaimie outdanced him in this Broadway piece. She looked great out there, and the judges loved her. These two may end up in the bottom again, but we hope she pulls through!

Mia Micheals is a genius. Truly. But last night, the piece she choreographed for Neil and Lauren just wasn’t as visually appealing and emotionally moving as the work she’s done for others this season and in the past. (Don’t you remember Travis and Heidi’s piece for “Calling You”? If not, you need to click HERE now!) Both Neil and Lauren gave it all they had, although Neil seems to stick out more as the better dancer.
It’s going to be interesting when we see who goes home tomorrow!
