Rihanna’s interview with 20/20 finally aired in its entirety last night and she pretty much left nothing to the imagination. She spoke quite openly and candidly about the events that occurred between her and Chris Brown. As most of you know my thoughts on the situation, I’m not going to discuss it any further. This Thursday (November 5th), Rihanna will appear on Good Morning America at 7am EST, followed by an interview with 20/20 on Friday (November 6th) at 10pm EST, where she will finally break her silence and speak about ‘the incident’. I can’t begin to tell you how ecstatic I am to see Mimi on stage singing for her life! She looked absolutely radiant & healthy in a skin tight catsuit with her throwback honey brown curls! On last night’s episode of Bravo’s The Real Housweives of Atlanta, NeNe & Atlanta photographer Derek Blanks unveiled the photo’s from the ladies’ alter ego photo shoot. Each of the ladies chose two characters to portray. While most took this as an opportunity to have fun, Kandi Burruss decided to use her picture to send a powerful message against drunk driving, as she portrayed a drunk driver and an injured pedestrian. I recently got a chance to sit down and interview Kandi for the season premiere of my brand new online series which premieres this Monday on my YouTube channel. I didn’t think I could ever be satisfied with a replacment judge after Paula Abdul’s untimely departure from American Idol, but I can’t help but be excited to share with you the news that Ellen DeGeneres is going to be the 4th judge on this season of American Idol!

Ellen had nothing but great things to say about her new gig:

UPDATE: MTV.COM has confirmed the performance!

According to TMZ, Janet Jackson will be performing in a show-stopping tribute to her brother Michael. The performance is set to feature 20 backup dancers and was choreographed by famed choreographers Frank Gatson and Travis Payne. Choreographer Wade Robson also posted a bulletin to his MySpace page saying:

“WADE ROBSON, MIA MICHAELS, BRIAN FRIEDMAN, CRIS JUDD, TRAVIS PAYNE, TINA LANDON, DAVE SCOTT, TYCE DIORIO, JERRY SLAUGHTER, LAURIE ANN GIBSON & GIL DULDULAO ARE PERFORMING WITH JANET JACKSON ON THE MTV VMA AWARDS ON SEPTEMBER 13TH IN TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON.”

Last week, Mariah’s 2nd single “I Want To Know What Love Is” leaked in poor sound quality. Today the final, mastered version of the song hit the net. There aren’t any major differences, however the song as a whole sounds a lot better. You can really hear the vocal details and things of that nature that really make the song great.

In other Mariah news, Mimi is scheduled to perform live on Oprah on Friday, September 18th! There will not only be an interview, but there will also be a performance of new material from Memoirs…. You know that yours truly will indeed be watching.

Whitney Houston will appear on Good Morning America on Wednesday (Sept. 2nd) to promote her brand new album, I Look To You, but due to the fact that she isn’t a big fan of early mornings, she decided to have her appearance pre-taped, which took place earlier this afternoon. According to numerous fans and longtime Whitney supporters, the diva’s voice gave out midway through her much-hyped performance.

She addressed the 5,000+ crowd saying “I’m so sorry. I did ‘Oprah.’ I’ve been talking for so long. … I talked so much, my voice,” she said, trailing off. “I shouldn’t be talking. I should be singing.”

Mariah Carey’s performance of “Obsessed” for the results show of America’s Got Talent aired on on NBC last night! As you all know I love myself some Mimi so I’m going to spare you the details about how much I love her but I will however highlight that she’s literally glowing with happiness. Whatever Nick is doing, it’s obviously working! In other Mariah news, “Obsessed” rises to #14 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Mariah Carey makes her 29th appearance on the Pop Songs/Mainstream Top 40 radio chart as “Obsessed” debuts at No. 39. The arrival extends her lead for the most overall chart entries in the tally’s nearly 17-year history. Go Mimi!

UPDATE: Britney Spears will NOT be performing, only appearing. According to her rep there was a miscommunication between the Teen Choice show reps and the Spears camp.

Can you believe it? Britney Spears is scheduled to perform at this years Teen Choice Awards (she’s also scored 3 award nominations)! I honestly was starting to lose hope that we would ever see her perform at another awards show after the infamous “Gimme More” performance back in 2007. Even though she’s not quite the performer she used to be, I’m still super happy she’s back and I’m still rooting for her! The Teen Choice Awards airs next Monday at 8pm ET on FOX.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, stars of the HBO series True Blood, are engaged to be married! Reps for both parties have confirmed to PEOPLE magazine. At this time no further details have emerged, but congrats to the happy couple!

True Blood was created by Alan Ball based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris, which tell the story of vampires and humans co-existing in a fictional Louisiana town. The series focuses on Sookie Stackhouse (played by Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (played by Moyer). True Blood airs on HBO every Sunday night at 9pm ET.

MTV’s Video Music Awards nominations are in and Beyoncé and Lady Gaga both lead the pack with a whopping 9 nominations a piece. They will go head to head in the “Video of the Year” and “Best Female Video” categories. It saddens me to say that Paula Abdul will not be returning to American Idol this fall after she was unable to re-negotiate her contract with FOX. This comes after wide speculation that she would indeed not be returning to the show for the ninth season and would be replaced by judge Kara Dioguardi. Paula released the following statement via her Twitter:

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all …being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon … What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me … It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month … I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

Diddy took to his YouTube channel recently to introduce us all to his new group Dirty Money. The group consists of himself (by the name of Sean, not Diddy), Dawn Richard (formerly of Danity Kane), and newcomer Kalenna. I’m actually interested in hearing what his new sound is for this upcoming Last Train to Paris album (which recently got pushed back to November). In the video he explains where he got the name “Dirty Money” and also addresses a few rumors floating around about the project. It all makes a little more sense now, but I think it’s definitely something I’m going to have to hear to understand.

Last night Melissa Rivers was fired on Celebrity Apprentice by Donald Trump and moments later all hell broke loose! Praise God for Jesus! One of my favorite shows ever, Project Runway, will return to cable via Lifetime this summer!

NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes. The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome. Harvey Weinstein added, “I want to personally congratulate Jeff Zucker and NBCU on their success in the litigation and thank Jeff for resolving this in a professional manner. We look forward to working together on our ongoing projects.”

The completed sixth season – taped in Los Angeles and featuring stars Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn – will begin airing this summer. The deal also guarantees that Project Runway will remain on Lifetime for the next five years and allows for the show’s spinoff series, Models of the Runway, to begin airing as well.

Love muffins, this is truly splendiferously divine news! Note: Christina Aguilera, Eva Longoria Parker and Rebecca Romijn have already filmed guest judge spots for the season.

Tiffany Pollard, better known as the boisterous “New York” on two seasons of Flavor of Love and spinoffs, I Love New York and New York Goes To Hollywood, will be stepping into the VH1 spotlight again with new show, New York Goes to Work.

A camera crew will follow New York around as she works at a new job each week – from positions at a sewer plant to a fast-food restaurant to a mortuary.

Viewers will vote on which job she should take by sending in text messages. If she sticks with the job for a week without getting fired or quitting, she’ll earn $5,000.

I like the interactive concept of the show. Very American Idol….only minus the Paula, and more New York! It’s amazing how technology is becoming more and more entwined in everything we do. Think Twitter.

Love muffins, did you get a chance to watch the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night?

He talked about how large companies should take greater financial responsibility for their actions and the steps needed for “long-term economic growth.” Obama also gave explanations as to why we’re in the financial mess that we’re in (ie, the AIG bailout and bonuses), and discussed how we need to have “regulatory common sense” in place so we don’t face the same economic problems again.

His witty one-liners and charming demeanor will make you laugh and like him even more.

Love muffins, did you catch tonight’s America’s Next Top Model? Here’s my little recap of the episode.

First stop on the ANTM train: Miss J’s Charm School. The girls change into preppy khaki pants, sweater sets and pearls. Miss J instructs the girls how to walk and critiques them in his hilarious, over-the-top, and playfully strict way. Bianca and Chantelle from Cycle 11 are brought back to help the girls with their walks and teach them about “model respect.”

During a game of truth of dare, Natalie reveals she thought Thalia had the worst picture at last week’s panel, causing the newly-blonde Thalia to have a bit of a breakdown, and call her sister for a breath of confidence.

The first challenge is walking for designer, Jill Stuart, wearing her spring runway collection. The catch is that the girls will be walking with a bunch of large, awkward shopping bags, putting to use the runway etiquette taught to them by Miss J at “school.” Miss J brings out Ann Shoket, editor in chief of Seventeen Magazine, to watch the show, adding some additional pressure to the young model hopefuls.

Cocky Natalie decides to add an unrehearsed spin into her runway walk, not pleasing Miss J. In the review, Natalie’s walk was praised, but the twirl was not. Adding to the already dismal Tahlia’s self-pity, her walk was described as weak. Challenger winner’s prize is some pieces of Stuart’s collection: Natalie.

Love muffins, did you happen to catch Wednesday night’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 12? It was the legendary “makeover” episode, and boy did Tyra beat their hair and makeup. After one breakdown and a walk out by legendary Bergdof Goodman hair guru, John Barrett, over contestant Natalie’s refusal to cut her hair, the girls had their first challenge. The challenge was to pick some unsuspecting girl off the street and introduce her to “Cover Girl Eyelights Mascara” inside a faux Cover Girl Walmart setting, and really sell the Cover Girl line. The winners’ prize was a Cover Girl photo shoot to be featured in Walmart.

Next up was the famous photo shoot with sexy British judge, Nigel Barker. The girls had to not only pose, but to adjust their own lighting on the rocker-themed set. Judges this week at panel were Nigel Barker, Miss J, Paulina Porizkova, Nole Marin (he’s back!) and Tyra. In the end, the girl with the Latin flava, Jessica, was eliminated. This was actually a bit of a shock to me because I thought she was pretty, with beautiful skin.
