‘Disaster Movie’

+ August 6, 2008

Here is the new trailer from Kim Kardashian’s new movie Disaster Movie. The trailer didn’t seem all that funny too me. Maybe the movie will be much better. I doubt it. I actually thought Meet The Spartans was going to be funny, but I was so wrong! Thoughts?

Movie Review: Step Brothers & The Mummy

+ August 6, 2008

Love muffins, over the weekend I watched Step Brothers and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I was anticipating Step Brothers to be some monkey doodle foolishness but it wasn’t! I was rolling with laughter from the beginning to the end. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were great in their characters. There is one part where Will and John’s character are arguing and Will whips out his balls and wipes them on the drums. So hilarious! Of course this is not recommended for children. So parents leave the kids at home when you watch this movie. Read the The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor review after the jump - Read more

+ July 30, 2008

On The Other Hand, Death: A Donald Strachey Mystery starring Chad Allen, Sebastion Spence and Margot Kidder debuted last Friday on the Here! Channel - to summarize the movie, while neighborhood residents are offered a nice amount of money from developers if they sell their homes, an elderly lesbian couple refuses to move. The couple’s home is then vandalized by anti-gay slurs that upsets them even more. It would upset me too! So don’t forget to watch the movie this Friday. Movie Review: Mamma Mia/The Dark Knight

+ July 23, 2008

Mamma Mia:
I had the opportunity to watch Mamma Mia at a private screening before the movie was released last week. This romantic comedy was interesting to watch besides the fact that I cringed at hearing most of the actors/actresses sing. When everyone was not messing up the ABBA hits, the movie was rather enjoyable. Amanda Seyfried’s character decides to get married and wants her father to give her away, however there are three men who are possibly her daddy. If that isn’t juicy drama, then I don’t know what is. New Movie Review: Hellboy II, Journey To The Center Of The Earth, Meet Dave

+ July 16, 2008

Over the weekend, I decided to see Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Meet Dave. I couldn’t wait because the previews for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Journey to the Center of the Earth were really good and I just made myself go see Meet Dave. However, I was actually quite surprised with all three movies.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army:
My friend begged me to go with her to see Hellboy II: The Golden Army, but I was extremely tired. However, I did what any good friend would do - I placed a hot towel over my face to wake me up and sipped on some tea. The lines were packed no doubt with kids screaming, “Mommy I want Gummy Bears”. I yawned several times while awaiting for my popcorn and drink, and when we finally made it to the room where the film was just starting to play, all the lights were dim. I could barely see when walking to an empty seat. Within fifteen minutes of the movie, I couldn’t help but nod off. Then I awoke abruptly when I heard some trollop snoring extremely loud making me feel all discombobulated! Then I realized that trollop was me. Read more

Movie Review: The Happening

+ July 9, 2008

The first couple of words that come to mind when thinking about M. Night Shyamalan’s movie The Happening is…this could have been better! Mark Wahlberg was the only thing stopping myself from walking up out of the movie theater. The concept of the movie was good, but this movie was not the business. M. Night used to make such excellent movies such as Unbreakable, Signs, and The Sixth Sense. Once Lady In The Water hit theaters, it went downhill from there even though the movie bought in over $70 million dollars worth of tickets. Yes The Happening has sold over $60 million dollars worth of tickets world wide, but it doesn’t mean I am going to like the movie. To summarize it, a family is on the run from an inexplicable and unstoppable event that threatens mankind. M. Night is also known for his unique twists in his movies, but nothing was unique. If you haven’t seen the movie, don’t waste money on it.
