Step Up is back with its sequel. This time there will be no Channing Tatum or Jenna Dewan (now a hot hollywood couple) but that doesn’t mean it still can’t be good, right?

Step Up 2: The Streets focuses on B-boys and B-Girls. It takes place in Maryland and the backdrop is still the MSA performance school. The lead male (Patrick Collins) will be played by Robert Hoffman (“She’s the Man” and MTV’s Wild ‘N Out”) who is quite the dancer. The leading lady (Andie West) will be played By Briana Evigan but it’s funny that Evigan has little to no experience performing any level of Hip-Hop prior to the movie let alone performing/learning the B-girl style. Can she still prove convincing?

Will Smith needs to go to jail immediately! It should be a crime for a man to look that damn good. Will Smith was recently photographed shooting his new movie, John Hancock. Smith plays an alcoholic superhero who is despised by everyone. He’s joined by a star-studded cast including the oh-so-elegant Charlize Theron and the adorable Jason Bateman. The film is set to hit screens next year’s July 4th weekend. Will Smith used to be known as the “King of the 4th” since many of his hit movies have premiered during that weekend (Independence Day, Men In Black). We’ll see next year if the delectable Mr. Smith can do it again. I’ll be waiting front and center. Watch your back Jada ’cause I’m on the prowl!

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony attended the premiere of their new movie, El Cantante, in Puerto Rico. The film hits theaters on August 3, and it follows the story of Hector Lavoe—the father of salsa music—and his contribution to music. It’s produced by Lopez, directed by Leon Ichaso and obviously starring latinos, which is a great thing. Sounds like a fabulous story, but we’ve already seen these couple movies flop! (Guess J.Lo forgot about the curse of Gigli.) We hope what could potentially be a great story-telling venture doesn’t turn into hot mess!

The film, I must say. is super duper sexy and reflects a fast-changing new world of fluid sexuality that I do believe exists.

The entire fantastic cast of Hairspray came out last night for the movie’s New York City Premiere at Ziegfeld Theatre. As previously reported we had the opportunity of seeing this splendiferous musical already and it’s the just amazing! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, Hairspray Is The Best Movie Of The Year!
