Brandy and her younger brother Ray J are set to debut their brand new VH1 reality show titled ‘Family Business’. The show will follow the Norwood family and give us an inside look as to how their family operates as a business unit. As much as I want to say I’m over celebrity reality shows, I’m actually interested in this one. I feel like it’s going to be a little different than the rest. Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business premieres on VH1 Sunday, April 11 at 9:00 PM.

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards just wrapped up and I’ll say that the show was better this year than it has been the last few years. There were quite a few memorable moments and a few surprises. The super lovely Sandra Bullock made the evening when she accepted her award for Best Actress, beating out Gabby Sidibe, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, and Carey Mulligan. Monique won Best Supporting Actress for ‘Precious’. ‘The Hurt Locker’ beat out ‘Avatar’ and ‘Precious’ for Best Picture as well as Best Director, with Kathryn Bigelow being the first woman to win the award. ‘Up’ took home the award for Best Animated Film and Jeff Bridges walked away with Best Actor.

Jennifer Lopez has had a rough week. First, she confirms her ‘amicable’ spilt from her record label, and last night she gave two less than stellar performances on Saturday Night Live. She traded in her sparkly jumpsuit and Louboutin heels for two never before heard, laid back numbers (“Pieces” & “Starting Over”) from her upcoming Love? album. She also did a semi-funny Rihanna impersonation during the “We Are The World” parody skit. On a more positive note, she looked absolutely beautiful and I’m excited to see what else Love? has in store for us!

1. Drink This! “Tommy Bahama”

If you are in the mood for something sweet, then try this Bahama Treat!

Ingredients:
2-1/2 parts Tommy Bahama White Sand Rum
2 parts sour mix
3 fresh blackberries
4 basil leaves
4 slices of ginger
1/4 part lemon-lime sode

Directions:
Muddle blackberries, basil, and ginger in a mixing glass. Add remained ingredients, shake well and strain into a mixing glass. Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda. Garnish with and orchid.

The 2010 NBA All Star game took place this past weekend in Texas and last night Cowboy Stadium hosted a slew of performances from Usher, Alicia Keys, and Shakira. Usher got the night started with lip-synched performances of “More”, “She Don’t Know” and “Yeah” while wearing a hideous ‘return of the spartans’ style leather vest type thing. Shakira, who was looking as hot as ever, performed some of my personal favorites “She Wolf” and “Give It Up To Me”. Alicia closed it out with her singles “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart”, “Empire State of Mind”, and “No One”.

Everybody did a great job, but I’m a bit disappointed in Usher. I was expecting ‘more’ and I got what appeared to be a very amateurish performance. Hopefully he kicks it up before that album drops on March 30th! You can catch all the performances after the jump! CONTINUE READING
