A brand new track from Whitney’s upcoming album leaked earlier today in its entirety. “Salute” was penned by R. Kelly and produced by Tricky Stewart. The song is nice, but like the rest of the material I’ve heard from this album it seems really safe. This song doesn’t do much for me, but honestly I wasn’t really expecting anything amazing.

In other Whitney news, she’s been confirmed to be appear on Oprah in the near future. I’ll definitely be tuning in to hear what she has to say. It should be interesting…

Whitney Houston – Salute [Link]

Amazon has just released 30 second previews of each track from Whitney Houston’s I Look To You album. I must say that so far it’s sounding like a pretty solid album, but I’ll save my judgements for when I can listen to the whole thing. I’m still waiting to hear that super duper powerful vocal though. Hopefully it’s hidden somewhere within the 12 tracks.

Whitney Houston’s official 1st single, “Million Dollar Bill,” is set to impact tomorrow (August 7th), but lucky for us it leaked a day early. There have been a few looped snippets floating around, but I have for you the official CDQ version. It was penned by Alicia Keys & produced by Alicia’s boyfriend, Swizz Beats. It has an old school feel and shows off a bit more of Whitney’s vocals and she sounds good! Alicia did a great job writing this track. I can already hear this being played at cookouts and family reunions everywhere. Whitney’s album, I Look To You will be in stores August 31st!

One of my love muffins sent me these pictures from Whitney Houston’s listening party in LA. Whitney looks absolutely radiant as she sits with close family and friends. Miss Bobbi Kriss looks beautiful as well. She’s really starting to grow into her own. It’s so wonderful to see Whitney looking so happy. I can tell that she’s really excited about this project.

UPDATE: HQ version added!

Fresh off of Whitney’s album release party comes a new track entitled “I Look To You”. The sound quality isn’t that great (it’s similar to the snippet that’s been floating around), but Whitney sounds amazing. I’d be a fool to think her voice is the same as it used to be, but with that said she can still sing circles around a lot of todays R&B females.

Whitney Houston held the album release party for her upcoming album I Look To You at Manhattan’s Jazz at Lincoln Center on Tuesday. The diva brought out the A-List in the music business such as: Alicia Keys, Clive Davis, Dionne Warwick, Cissy Houston, Martha Stewart, and Gayle King to name a few. Doesn’t Whitney look great?
