That’s right. Little Ms. Goody Two-Shoes Katie Couric admitted in this month’s New York magazine that, due to the stress of low ratings as the CBS Evening News anchor she has second-guessed her move to network and at one point, slapped a staffer on set.
According to the article, her frustration reached a new low last month when, after news editor Jerry Cipriano used the word she hates (”sputum”) in a piece about tuberculosis, she slapped Cipriano “over and over and over again” on the arm, according to eyewitnesses. Says Couric:
“ I sort of slapped him around. “I got mad at him and said, ‘You can’t do this to me. You have to tell me when you’re going to use a word like that.’ I was aggravated, there’s no question about that.”
Sounds like someone can’t stand not being the Queen Bee. I bet she’s really jealous that Meredith Viera is such a huge hit.
