The 66th Annual Golden Globes was the place to be Sunday night. The stars came out as they arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Tom Cruise attended the premiere of his new movie Valkyrie at Rose Hall on Monday night in New York City. Earlier that day, Tom also apologized to Matt Lauer on the Today show after his rude out burst just 3 years ago.

“I thought about it a lot,” and chalked up his passion at the time to the fact that the discussion concerned “a subject matter that’s important. It’s something that’s been debated in the public, and that’s what it should be…[I came across] not as I had intended. In looking at myself, I came across as arrogant… I didn’t communicate it in the way I wanted to communicate it. Also, that’s not the way I am. That’s not the person I am.” People

Jennifer Garner and daughter, Violet Affleck, were spotted while leaving from school in Santa Monica Wednesday afternoon. I miss Violet’s smile. The stars came out to support Ben Stiller at the Los Angeles premiere of Tropic Thunder on Monday. During the event, many people were out front picketing the movie because they believed that people with mental disabilities were being made fun of. However, Ben said that it was not the case.

“It’s sort of edgy territory, but we felt that as long as the focus was on the actors who were trying to do something to be taken seriously that’s going too far or wrong, that was where the humor would come from”…Tropic Thunder cowriter Etan Cohen [added] “Some people have taken this as making fun of handicapped people, but we’re really trying to make fun of the actors who use this material as fodder for acclaim. The last thing you want is for people to think you’re making fun of the victims in this who are having their lives turned into fodder for people to win Oscars.” E!
