May 25, 2007 ABC: Rosie Will Leave ‘View’ Early

Well, well, well. Looks like Kelli’s birthday bash provided a little introspection for Ms. O’Donnell. ABC released a statement today that revealed the talk show queen will not return to The View.

Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, had this to say:

“We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to ‘The View’ and wish her well.”

Rosie’s response? She simply said it’s been an “amazing year.”

Rosie vs. Elisabeth: The Saga Continues

According to Page Six, an ABC staffer had to be escorted from the building’s premises yesterday for defacing portraits of Elisabeth Hasselback by drawing moustaches all over them. The New York Post reports, “Rosie O’Donnell was not in the building. ABC Legal and Human Resources are investigating the matter.” The statement did not reveal who was responsible for the vandalism.

This whole feud is getting out of control. Is this a day-time talk show or a daytime drama?!

If you missed the monster fight on the view today. Watch for yourself! Here are my favorite quotes:

Elisabeth

“You’re an adult and I’m certainly not going to be the person for you to explain your thoughts. They’re your thoughts. Defend your insinuations!”

“Its much easier to fight someone like Donald Trump, isn’t it?”

Rosie

“For the next three weeks you can say all the republican crap you want.”

“What you did was not defend me. I asked you if you believed what the republican pundits were saying…you said nothing and that’s cowardly!”

Who do you think is right?

Rosie And Elisabeth Throw Down On The View!

roselis1.jpg

Anyone who is not on the East coast, you must watch The View today. I’m sure the fight will be hitting Youtube in a matter of minutes. Trust me, the verbal showdown between Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck was legendary!

To make a long story short, Rosie was mad that Elisabeth did not come to her defense two days ago. Elisabeth’s favorite news network, FoxNews, said that Rosie thought the US troops were terrorists. When Rosie asked Elisabeth what she thought of the comment, Elisabeth did not respond and instead suggested that Rosie clarify what she was trying to say. Rosie took this as a slap in the face because she said she considers Elisabeth a friend and was surprised that instead of denouncing FoxNews’ statements, she would rather play coy.

Here was the video from two days ago that lead to the argument today! (It’s at around 4:13)

Today, the topic resurfaced and the fur was flying. Honey, this was a catfight to end all catfights. They were calling each other cowards, while Joy was desperately trying to mediate and pleading to producers to go to commercial. It was really serious. I thought I was watching Jerry Springer or Flavor of Love for a minute. Even though I rarely agree with anything Elisabeth says, I must say she held her own. Rosie can be a really overpowering figure if you’re not ready.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rosie decided to leave early. If my inclinations are correct, expect Barbara Walters (aka den mother) to make an appearance in the very near future to quiet the waters. You must watch if you get a chance. I’ll give you an update later…with video perhaps!

P.S. – I thought Rosie said she wasn’t going to fight with Elisabeth anymore? Ah well, that lasted all of 2 minutes!

May 8, 2007 Ring Around The Rosie!

According to Broacasting and Cable, Rosie O’Donnell expects to get $40 million from a new television deal. Though the details are hazy, she wants a guest spot on the CBS Morning Show, or get her own show on CBS altogether. Though FOX was courting her, a deal with the network seems unlikely now that she’s bashed owner Rupert Murdoch.

$40 million?!?!? What is she thinking? No matter what she and Barbara Walters say, we all know she got FIRED from the View after she demanded too much money, and now she wants enough money to feed and clothe all the children in Africa? Rosie needs to go sit down somewhere and think about what her future television options REALLY are.

April 26, 2007 Tyra Banks Cops A Feel!

Today on The View, Tyra Banks got grabby with none other than Rosie O’Donnell! (Excuse me while I hurl!) First it was Katharine McPhee and now Rosie! That’s a huge step down in the looks department. Let’s be glad Barbara Walters wasn’t hosting today…There would have been powdered milk all over the stage!

Here she is coping a feel with Katharine McPhee

Here she is feeling on her own. I have to admit she does have great breast… and real ones!

April 25, 2007 Rosie Leaves The View

Well folks, we all knew it was bound to happen sometime. Rosie has just released a statement saying that she will officially be leaving The View in mid-June. Somewhere Star Jones and Donald Trump are laughing their asses off. She will announce on today’s show that she’s leaving. Sounds like money issues and differences in opinion were at the root of the split but off course both parties involved are being tight-lipped about the situation. Don’t cry for Rosie, I’m sure with the ratings she’s been pulling in lately that she’ll have her own show in no time. What more can you say?…It was fun while it lasted.

“This has been an amazing experience, and one I wouldn’t have traded for the world. Working with Barbara, Joy and Elisabeth has been one of the highlights of my career, but my needs for the future just didn’t dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me. To all the viewers out there, I just want to say ‘thank you’ for opening up your hearts and your homes to me this past year. But you can always find me at rosie.com. Here’s hoping there’s more confetti for all of us going forward.”

Walters also released a statement saying

“I induced Rosie to come back to television on ‘The View’ even for just one year. She has given the program new vigor, new excitement and wonderful hours of television. I can only be grateful to her for this year. I am very sad that ABC Daytime could not reach an agreement with her for a second year. We will all miss Rosie on ‘The View,’ and hope she will be back with us often next season. She remains for me a cherished friend and colleague.”

Sounds like BS to me….Can’t wait until the real story comes out!
