Rihanna’s interview with 20/20 finally aired in its entirety last night and she pretty much left nothing to the imagination. She spoke quite openly and candidly about the events that occurred between her and Chris Brown. As most of you know my thoughts on the situation, I’m not going to discuss it any further. Kudos to Rihanna for speaking out.

Rihanna dropped the highly anticipated video for her buzz single “Wait Your Turn” earlier today via her website. While I like the dark theme of the video, I’m not entirely sure what to think about it. It’s definitely going to give people something to talk about….that’s for sure. Earlier today, Ryan Seacrest confirmed the Young Jeezy assisted “So Hard” as being the official second single. He says:

Her second official single “So Hard” featuring rapper Young Jeezy, follows the album’s debut single “Russian Roulette,” a dark ballad which came as a surprise to many fans who expected a high-energy dance track.

In a recent interview, Rihanna finally opened up to Glamour magazine about everything from her new album and image, to domestic violence.

Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.

I know it seems like Rihanna overload, but she is really hitting us something serious with this music. The new track, “So Hard”, was just premiered on NYC’s Hot 97 radio station. I think the song is fire! She is really coming with these hard-hitting anthems! Not to mention, Tricky Stewart & The Dream did the damn thing with this production. UPDATE: After listening to the song a few times I’ve decided that I really like it. I love the Rihanna’s delivery and her attitude throughout the entire track. I also really appreciate how she went back to her roots with the Bajan accent. I’m super duper excited for Rated R.

Rihanna wasted no time hitting us with a second single. “Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova)” is a completely different offering from RiRi. I like it…I’m not sure I love it…but it’s a nice track. I prefer “Russian Roulette”.

“The Wait Is Ova” as Rihanna’s new single premiered just a few moments ago! “Russian Roulette” was written by Ne-Yo and it serves as the lead single from her upcoming album which is officially titled Rated R and is scheduled for release on November 23rd! I think the song is a certified hit! Rihanna’s vocals sound amazing…miles better than anything I’ve heard from her to date. The song itself has somewhat of an epic feel to it that’s hard to describe. The long awaited video for Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” premiered overnight. I’m not quite sure how I feel about the video just yet. I feel like I keep waiting for something big to happen, but all I’m getting is a bunch of performance shots of the gang in anticipation. The song has grown on me, but I may need to watch the video a few more times for me to actually like it the way I want to. Visually, I think the video looks amazing, but conceptually, I was hoping for something more…epic. Rihanna looks stunning as usual and it’s nice to see her working again.

Jay-Z debuted his new single “Run This Town” from his upcoming Blueprint 3 album earlier today and it features the amazing Kanye West & Rihanna. This is a much better offering then the D.O.A. “buzz track” that was released a few weeks ago. Rihanna sounds great on the record and it’s so good to hear her doing music again. Kanye’s verse goes hard as well…except I could do without the “no homo” line. C’mon Kanye…I need for you to do better. The track isn’t outstanding by any means, but having such huge names on the record will definitely help it’s sales.

Rihanna, who was a no show at the BET Awards, was spotted leaving a New York City hotel this past weekend. The latest rumored boyfriend is NBA baller Rashard Lewis, who was seen at the same hotel this weekend.

According to TMZ Chris Brown has stuck a deal in his assault case. He won’t do any jail time. The plea deal consists of the following:

- Ordered to stay 50 yards clear of Rihanna.
- Spend 180 days doing community labor (8 hours a day — 1440 hours total)
- Will complete his service in Virginia which is where Brown lives.
- Brown will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks.
- 5 years probation for FELONY assault — he pled guilty.
- Supervised probation with scheduled court every three months.
- He must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program.
- if they are at the same public events, the 50-yard stay away turns into 10 yards. The stay away order lasts 5 years.
- If Brown violates probation, he could get up to 4 years in prison.

So Chris Brown is now a convicted felon and loses the the following rights: To own a gun, to sit on a jury, subject to search and seizure without a search warrant and he now has limitations on travel. Love muffins this sends a disturbingly sad message that domestic violence is acceptable. Justice was not served.

Check out this newly leaked track that’s supposedly from Rihanna’s latest recording sessions. “Te Amo” was written and previously demoed by songwriter James Fauntleroy. It reminds me a lot of the material from her first album Music of the Sun. It has much more of an organic feel to it than most of recent songs we’ve heard from Ri Ri. It’s unknown what direction she’s taking with this new album, but if she decided to throw a few tracks like this, along with her usual dance-pop numbers, I wouldn’t be disappointed. I will say I’m slightly confused as to why she’s singing about another female. That means there’s a good chance it’s just a demo. Whether it’s a demo or not, it’s still a great song!

Rihanna spotted at Carol’s Daughter Tuesday afternoon in New York City showing off her million dollar legs. While Rihanna is awaiting trial for her alleged assault with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, the singer is being sued for apparently allowing people she invited to her house ruin the neighbor’s lawn.

Two years ago, Yacobian (who Rihanna rents the home from) renovated the property and the easement wasn’t really being used…Since Rihanna moved in she’s been allowing cars to drive on Moeller’s lawn to get to her driveway… and the suit claims sometimes the cars just sit there on the lawn. TMZ

Check out the final version of Kanye West’s new music video “Paranoid” featuring the lovely Rihanna. This version has a few extra scenes and added visual effects, but the simple changes makes the video SO much better than the previous version. I love the dark, spooky feel of the video.
