President-elect Barack Obama has named Senator Hillary Clinton as secretary of state. I am excited about this, how about you?

This quote has so made me respect President-elect Obama even more than I already do! This extraordinary multi-ethnic (English, Irish and German descent mother and Kenyan father) man really understands who he is as a person and in every way including genetically represents the beautiful mixture that exist in the United States! Love muffins, while Sarah Palin was giving the speech of her life, her daughter was spit shinning her little brother! Take me higher Lord!

Last night Sarah Palin, John McCain’s running mate, delivered what many called the speech of her life. Apparently Sarah’s delivery was absolutely stellar! She joked about being a “hockey mom” and at the same time she criticized Barack Obama. Many people/critics were skeptical of Sarah’s credentials but after this speech it seems Palin has it in the bag! Some of the biggest names in news media had this to say:

It wasn’t just a home run, said CNN’s Wolf Blitzer; it may have been a grand slam. “A very auspicious debut,” said NBC’s Tom Brokaw. It was a “perfect populist pitch,” said CBS’ Jeff Greenfield. “Terrific,” said Mort Kondracke on Fox News Channel.

“A star is born,” said Chris Wallace on Fox.

As expected, Clinton formally released her delegates to vote for Obama. Amid shouts of “no,” by disappointed supporters, she said, “I am not telling you what to do. You’ve come here from so many different places having made this journey and feeling in your heart what is right for you to do.” News. Yahoo

Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, brings years of experience that could help counter GOP arguments that an Obama administration would be inexperienced on foreign policy. Biden abandoned his own White House run after a poor showing in Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses. He also ran for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination but dropped out after charges of plagiarism in a stump speech. CNN

In my opinion Sen. Hillary Clinton would have been the best choice to be Sen. Barack Obama’s vice president especially being that 18 million people voted for her, all of which he needs to win in November.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC poll published on Wednesday found that only 52 percent of people who voted for Clinton in the marathon Democratic primary duel had so far decided to vote for Obama in November. Twenty-one percent said they would vote for McCain, while 27 percent had not yet decided. One in three of the group said they found Obama “arrogant and cocky.”

John McCain hasn’t chosen anyone yet, but only time will tell since it is getting pretty close to election time. It’s going to be interesting to see how all this plays out. Thoughts?

It was a close race in Indiana for Hillary and Barack but not in North Carolina. McCain stayed several thousand votes ahead of Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney (no preference in North Carolina).

Take me higher lord, this is not about my support for either Sen. Hillary Clinton or Sen. Barack Obama but rather this completely shocking ignorant statement that Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. (pastor of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ and former pastor of Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.) said at an event sponsored by the Detroit chapter of the NAACP over the weekend. Please read the following statement and please let me know if you agree with him that African-American children and European-American children learn with different parts of the brain. (B. They learn from a person. Some of you are old enough, I see your hair color, to remember when the NAACP won that tremendous desegregation case back in 1954 and when the schools were desegregated. They were never integrated. When they were desegregated in Philadelphia, several of the white teachers in my school freaked out. Why? Because black kids wouldn’t stay in their place. Over there behind the desk, black kids climbed up all on them.”

With about 98 percent of precincts reporting, Sen. Hillary Clinton has claimed victory in Pennsylvania on Tuesday by 10 points, beating out Sen. Barack Obama after a rumble-in-the-jungle seven-week campaign. Neither candidate is expected to win the 2,025 delegates needed to clinch the nomination by the end of the primary season in June, thoughts?

Chelsea Clinton was startled by a question about Monica Lewinsky at the end of a Q&A session at Butler University Tuesday. A student asked whether Hillary Clinton’s credibility was damaged during the Lewinsky scandal. Chelsea responded by saying:

“Wow, you’re the first person actually that’s ever asked me that question in the, I don’t know maybe, 70 college campuses I’ve now been to, and I do not think that is any of your business,” she responded, generating applause from the crowd at the campaign event.

With all the tension going on between Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama’s political campaigns, I thought this hilarious video would be a great way to alleviate some of it!

I know I said I wouldn’t talk about politics anymore but I guess I have to take back my previous declaration. Even though we all may have different political views, I think it’s so important to have intellectual and adult conversations about current political events. This is truly an incredible time in American history and I think it would be a ludicrous not to have a frank discussion about the topic.

So here it is. Obama has had an incredible run. He’s one 11 straight primaries/caucuses and he currently has the lead in delegates and popular vote. Anyone who knows anything about politics will tell you that Texas and Ohio are critical to the survival of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Last night was the return of Saturday Night Live (SNL) since the Writer’s Strike and former head-writer, Tina Fey, was the co-host. It was pretty clear from the show where she stands politically and I wanted to know what my love muffins thought of the show.

I want to reiterate that I appreciate and warrant differences of opinion in the comments section. It’s my goal to have this website serve as a forum for a variety of opinions. I just want to make sure people are mature, educated, and thoughtful in their comments. With that being said… Thoughts?

As you know today is Super Tuesday – voters in 24 states head to the polls to vote that could determine the Democratic and Republican races for the White House. I have selected to support/endorse Sen. Hilary Rodham Clinton for President because of her leadership abilities, 35-year record of proven change, and her solutions to the critical issues we as Americans currently face. Hilary’s universal healthcare, education and immigration reform policies make sense to me. Not that I needed anything else to help me decide, but the debates all of which I watched completely sealed the deal. We all have the right to support whomever we want and agree to disagree while remaining respectful of each other. Regardless of who you support, please go out to vote today because your vote really does matter!
