Michael’s This Is It movie is still a few weeks away, but we now have the lead single from the documentary soundtrack. “This Is It” was recorded in 1991 for the Dangerous album, but it was never completed nor released. The track was completed with background vocals from his brothers. The song isn’t outstanding, but what I like about the song is that it’s pure, organic, Michael. Check out the track after the jump!

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson has finally been laid to rest. Two months since his abrupt passing, Michael Joe Jackson was buried at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles, California. The entire Jackson clan as well as Michael’s best friends Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin, and Quincy Jones all attended the funeral which was held yesterday, just 4 days after what would have been Michael’s 51st birthday. Vanity Fair will be publishing two covers for its September issue: one featuring Michael Jackson and another featuring Farrah Fawcett, the two pop culture icons who both died on June 25. “Two covers seemed like the sensible thing to do, given the passing of two major American icons on the same day,” editor Graydon Carter said. Michael Jackson visited a medical building in Beverly Hills on Tuesday afternoon wearing a Balmain studded jacket, with Balmain leopard print pants, and a Balmain Printed Jersey T-shirt ($469). MJ seems to be a fan of women’s fashion!

Michael Jackson was spotted in Givenchy leaving his Beverly Hills hotel this past weekend.  Even though it’s womenswear, it totally works for him!

MJ is about four weeks into tour rehearsals for his upcoming sold out, 50-date run at London’s O2 Arena beginning this July. Rehearsals are taking place in Burbank, CA, and are leading up to the legendary entertainer’s first live performances in 12 years. Production costs are reportedly $20 million, which promoter AEG Live is footing the bill for. The show was originally going to be capped at 90 minutes, but with the King of Pop’s ginormous song catalog, the show will be two-plus hours — something I’m sure his die-hard fans will not be unhappy about.

All tickets for Michael Jackson’s 50 “final” performances at London’s O2 Arena (capacity 20,000) sold out in four hours Friday morning. Tickets went on sale at 7a.m., with some fans waiting in line since Wednesday. Fans were limited to four tickets per household, with prices ranging from $105 to $1,100 for VIP tickets. Approximately 750,000 tickets were sold.

Jackson originally announced he would play 10 shows at London’s newest arena, but due to overwhelming demand, an additional 40 dates were added. The gloved one’s run is now scheduled to end next February.

Jackson’s last world tour was in 1996’s to promote his “HIStory” album. He’s estimated to have sold more than 750 million records over the course of his career.

No one is immune to the occasional downsides of technology. Superstar Michael Jackson’s website crashed today during the presale for his upcoming Farewell tour, set to play ten nights at O2 Arena (capacity 20,000) in London in July. The Ticketmaster-run website was not able to meet demand, displaying error messages when eager fans tried to purchase presale tickets. All tickets will go on sale this Friday the 13th, with more shows reportedly to be added in September.
