The long awaited video for Mary J’s “The One” premiered yesterday. I hadn’t realized there wasn’t a video yet because the song has been doing so well without it. The only real promotion the song has had thus far is the AT&T commercial that seems to play every five minutes. But, I’m not mad at her! Get that money Mary! Diddy, Cassie, and Ciara attended the New York City premiere, at the AMC Lincoln Square on Wednesday night, of Notorious which centers around the life of Notorious B.I.G. and the people that impacted his life. Angela Bassett and Faith Evans also attended the premiere along with other singers and actors/actresses. However, it looks like Lil Kim was nowhere to be found, probably because she was sulking at the fact she couldn’t have her way as far as the movie went.

Jay-Z hit North Carolina this past Saturday for his “Heart of the City” tour (minus Beyonce and his ring) along with Mary J. Blige. Jay-Z is still keeping quiet about the wedding to Beyonce that was held on the rooftop of Jay-Z’s Tribeca apartment Friday. “Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B”, is what Mary said before starting her set with “You’re All I Need.”

According to People.com, the only mention of Beyonce came when he played a few notes of “Crazy in Love,” then cut it off, saying, “Sorry B.” But this is something he does at every show.

Elton John Hosted his 16 Annual AIDS Foundation Oscar Party in West Hollywood last night. Many stars came out, but most importantly one Elton’s biggest friends, Mary J. Blige came out to sing with him in honor of the great cause! I just love these two!

With all the drama going on today I completely looked over this! R&B star Mary J. Blige’s ninth album Growing Pains landed at No. 2 on the week’s Billboard 200, selling 629,000 copies! Congrats MJB on those numbers and having such a great quality album!
